  1. QUOTE (Jimmy3Putt @ Nov 27, 2016 -> 07:07 PM) How can he possibly have enough money for majority shares of a MLB team? Because he has been stealing from Americans the past 8 years.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 25, 2016 -> 03:14 PM) It is also worth mentioning that Saladino has been fairly injury prone and has had back problems. I'd rather have my 3B set for 150 games, than to move Bregman from one to the other instead of moving him around with injuries. You didn't say anything about injuries. Now you do? And I bet you had saladino as one of you 2nd base options.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 25, 2016 -> 11:11 AM) Anderson so far has proven himself an excellent SS defensively, and he still has a lot of time to grow. My guess is that if Sale gets dealt, Frazier is either signing an extension or being traded himself. If he is traded, we have a couple of kids who can hold down 2B, and none who can hold down 3B. Saladino can actually play a very good 3rd base.
  4. QUOTE (ChiSox1917 @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 03:57 PM) I want Moncada, Benintendi and Devers. If those three are offered, I'm taking the deal for Sale no questions asked. Give me kopech instead of devers.
  5. Holy s***! Enough of little league bat Sanchez!
  6. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 11:57 AM) Bowden Red Sox - Sale for Moncada, Kopech, Swihart and Rodriguez. Rangers - Sale for Mazara, Profar or Gallo, Tate and Ortiz Nationals - Sale for Joe Ross, Trea Turner, Fedde or Lopez, and Glover Cubs - Sale for Schwarber, Hendricks, Happ and Candelario Dodgers - Sale for Urias, De Leon and Puig ME Red Sox - Sale for Moncada, Benitedi, Swihart, Owens and Rodriguez. Rangers - Sale for Mazara, Profar, Gallo, Tate and Ortiz Nationals - Sale for Joe Ross, Trea Turner, Fedde, Lopez, and Glover Cubs - Sale for Schwarber, Baez, Hendricks, Happ and Candelario Dodgers - Sale for Urias, De Leon, Verdugo, Montas and Puig I like the rangers as a partner for Chris Sale if we trade him. I really like the Mazara kid. But instead of tate I would take Matualla
  7. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 20, 2016 -> 07:43 PM) That's too much for Sale. I think you may get to pick one of Seager, Urias and Pederson. That's too little for Q. I try to move him to Boston for Moncada. Well if you can get Boston, Houston, and LA into a bidding war you just might get something similar.
  8. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 09:25 PM) @CST_soxvan Purke optioned. Corresponding move tomorrow. If Davidson comes up and hits, I wonder if he could learn a corner outfield spot? he does have a big arm and is fairly athletic.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 04:11 PM) Boy this pitcher has nothing. Hope he's not a big time prospect. You don't like to let youngsters develop do you? They should all be hall of fame quality from the get go!
  10. That first pitch to Frazier was terrible!! Way to help them out s***ty ump!
  11. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 25, 2016 -> 03:13 PM) Floyd is hurt. You hate to see this happen to anyone You definitely don't want to see him get hurt. That is not what I was eluding to. I wanted him in there because he is very hitable.
  12. Gavin Floyd is in. Time to put up some runs. *And there he goes out...Damn it.
  13. I like the look of beck. He needs to keep refining his command. But he has very good tools to be a Relief pitcher. Then once he has establishes himself he will get those close calls that are going the other way right now for him. But he has a very good fastball and good secondary pitches. I like him and Ynoa as future guys here. Add in Purdi when he gets here and that is 3 young looking kids that could be very good in the pen.
  14. I thought Beck finished strong. Showed some nice things. definitely needs to work on his control though. But I think he got squeezed a couple times from the ump. I like the look of Beck in the pen. Just needs experience now. and Frasier definitely didn't help him with his terrible throw.
  15. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 12:49 PM) Do they? they might not love swihart as much with the pick of collins in the draft?
  16. QUOTE (CB2.0 @ Jun 22, 2016 -> 08:46 PM) Hate to beat a dead horse, but this exactly why I hate the Shields trade. Bench is razor thin - we have nothing to call up. OFers like Coats, and Shuck...Avi. What has this 5-9 hit in the last month? I'd be shocked if it's even .190. They eat $15M to toss Danks, only to toss another $3M on Latos, take on $5M this year for Shields (and another 2/years $22M)....That's $23M THIS YEAR over a #5 that could get something able to hit weight in at least 5 spot for EVERY DAY. Pathetic. Why not bring jacob may up? atleast we would be able to keep eaton in RF and have a very good defensive CF. It's better than shuck or Coats.
  17. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 22, 2016 -> 08:38 PM) I certainly expect them to trade him. To Hahn/Ventura and the rest, OPS .700 from a vet >>>>>> OPS .650 from a young player with room to grow. And trading for Bruce is just the kind of fool move I expect Hahn to make. Not sure what kind of player he'll be, but I've liked what I've seen. To sit him like this amongst this team of stiffs is just ridiculous. I see Colton Wong is now playing CF. That's a concept that's just beyond the grasp of the White Sox. I'd like to see him get more playing time at 2nd. His defense is much better and his bat is just as good. give the young kid the spot. Or we could just trade him and watch him turn into a solid player like simien?
  18. And this ump is very inconsistant in his strike zone.
  19. You can't walk the 9th hitter 2 times!
  20. QUOTE (ecupittfan @ Jun 20, 2016 -> 09:16 PM) With Schuck up now do you bunt? You have too, he wont get a hit Ha ha!
  21. Bryce Harper and his left handed bat
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 30, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) Yeah, they had guys like Zumaya and Rodney, but they rarely all functioned together as a unit...that was Detroit's biggest Achilles' heel over the last decade. Greg Holland didn't have dominant stuff, as well. You don't have to throw the ball through to be effective. Obviously, Herrera throws hard, but guys like Hochevar and Soria don't throw any harder than Albers/Jones/Kahnle/Petricka. revisionist history at its finest.
  23. No s*** you two. Obviously you have to be able to more. Who has the best bullpen right now? Yankees. Look at their back 3. The Tigers had a nasty bullpen a couple years ago. Hard throwers. Look at the royals. Big arms.
  24. Id like to see more hard throwers in our bullpen. Too many lollipop guys.
  25. Would it be possible to sign Cespedes then turn around and sign Parra? Would it be worth it? Obviously melky is the full time DH now. Parra gives us a decent left handed bat and a cannon in LF.
