Obviously talent is an issue on the team. But I also think the inconsistency from Venables is creating this issue too. You got to be consistent with young players. Quit playing them in multiple positions. Quit changing the lineup every game. Consistency!!

With a young player like Colson I wish they would just let him play SS so he can focus on hitting. Moving him around positions puts more to think about on him. Baseball best friend is consistency. Especially for young players. Let them find their groove and produce. It’s the same with other guys too. JustptAcuna in center and let him grow and develop. The love affair with Peters is crazy. He’s a fourth outfielder. Pt these guys in their positions and go. Put them in a batting order and go. We are managing like a little league team. This team has young guys that need to find confidence and consistency. They aren’t getting that with the constant moves.

I really like Quero behind the plate. He really controls the game well and the bases. with Teel having experience in the outfield from college, I would really like to see him move to LF this offseason. That way we get both Teel and Quero in the line up together. Lee is a solid and quality backup. I believe this would give us our best option. Beni becomes a full time DH.
