  1. 1. Haseley 2. Beck 3. Adell 4. White 5. Smith 6. Kendall I'm starting to warm up to White being selected at 11. Love his versatility and similarities to Bellinger minus the power.
  2. Baseball America John Manuel has them picking Pavin Smith.
  3. QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Jun 11, 2017 -> 10:17 AM) Kendall and Bukauskas are the only 2 picks I'll actually be upset with and seem to be the 2 most mocked to us. Hopefully the mocks are all wrong... I agree both players have some major concerns. I'm somehow crossing my fingers Haisley or Beck fall to #11
  4. 1) Haseley 2) Beck 3) Adell 4) Bukauskus 5) Kendall 6) White 7) Smith 8) Pratto 9) Peterson More and more insiders saying Kendall linked to the White Sox. Very similar to last year when Burdi was considered a lock at #24 which turned out to be true. Love Kendall's tools, but getting the barrel out in front, recognition of breaking balls, 26K% at the college level, and being able to make consistent contact scare me. I'm not as quite nervous to choosing Kendall as in the past because the Sox are becoming more successful developing hitters down on the farm. We need another big time hitter at #11.
  5. Please stay away from Kendall. Hit tool is scary and has major flaws in his swing.
  6. I know it's early, but losing Tatis will haunt us. Big mistake giving him up in the Shields deal
  7. Yes Red Sox paid the entire salary and penalty
  8. Chicago Bears 2017 Season Tickets. 2017 Chicago Bears pre-season and regular season games. All 10 home games are included. I have 4 Seats in Section 441 Row 11 Seats 11-14. approximately the goalline -5 yard line. The hard tickets will be shipped in late July, well in advance of the first pre-season home game. Asking for $4500 for the entire season. These tickets are part of my season ticket package and are available this year. Have triplets boys and will be difficult for me to attend this season. Let me know if you are interested.
  9. Juan Soto on DL with a badly sprained ankle sliding home. Will be out awhile
  10. I have concerns with Alex Faedo making it as a starter. Mechanics aren't very ideal for a starter. Also coming off knee surgery on both legs. Stuff regresses the further he gets in the game and 2nd/3rd time around the lineup. I know he's been pitching better for LSU as he's had more recovery time from the surgeries. Too many red flags to use the #11 pick on a possible reliever. We already did that with Carson Fulmer.
  11. Any update on Jordan Stephens and Victor Diaz?
  12. Keith Law's TOP 50 list out todayl Most glaring player I noticed was the absence of Jordon Adell from his Top 50. According to scouts Law has talked to major hit questions and throwing very poorly right now. Is moving dramatically down everyone's list.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 04:18 PM) Saw someone said scouts have Kendall with 30 hit tool According to Eric Longenhagen from Fangraphs, multiple MLB scouts from at least 5 organizations believe he has a 30 hit tool. Other 4 tools are great, but the most important tool has done a 180 this year. Stock is falling
  14. Any word on Jordan Stephens and Adolfo injuries?
  15. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 4, 2017 -> 01:20 PM) Pitcher: Bernardo Flores Hitter: Carlos Perez I have the same two to breakout. Hitter Carlos Perez Pitcher Bernardo Flores
  16. The last 2 years Baseball America-Ben Badler has been 39/40 accurate with making the right call on each international signing from the Top 20 players. When it's coming from Badler you know it's legit. Will be a huge addition to the Sox rebuild. Too bad White Sox couldn't of capitalized on this by signing more players earlier in the period if he falls before the 6/15 deadline.
  17. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Feb 22, 2017 -> 02:34 PM) McKay just hit his 3rd HR of the season. Had 6 last year. He's on my watch list. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of McKay that early. Consensus is split on whether he's a pitcher or 1B. If you decide he's going in your lineup. You have to worry about the similarities McKay and Zach Collins have. Sox hope Collins sticks at catcher, but majority of the league and scouts believe otherwise. Could be a redundant pick with Collins/McKay ending up at 1B. Both slow and nonathletic. I know someone is going say you worry about 1B situation when both reach the majors and go from there. But you tend to do that with more high ceiling up the middle players that can possibly play multiple positions down the road.
  18. QUOTE (oldsox @ Feb 22, 2017 -> 06:43 AM) No, Houston passed on Bryant because they are STUPID, and they wanted to draft a high school pitcher so they could sign him for a lower bonus than Bryant would require. Houston drafted #1 Mark Appel/Stanford in 2013 followed by Bryant #2. 2014 was Brady Aiken. Also Appel bonus was more than Bryant that year. You must be getting your information from Donald Trump.
  19. Adam Engel Engel will split his time in AAA/MLB and I think he'll eventually get 200-300 at bats at the major league level this year. Engel will struggle in the beginning, but eventually will start to make adjustments with his hitting. He'll bring his plus speed and defense to the team, which will be much needed in the OF. Engel key will be making contact at the MLB level, but will show enough improvement to be part of the future as strong 4th OF or trade bait down the road.
  20. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Jan 23, 2017 -> 12:25 PM) Sox were stuck in a tough spot picking #8 in 2015 Every player picked above them I think they would have drafted over Fulmer: 1) Swanson 2) Bregman 3) Rodgers 4) Tate 5) Tucker 6) Jay 7) Benintendi They did what they felt was the best selection at the time was in Fulmer. At 6' 200 lbs he has less than ideal size for a starting pitcher and likely is best suited to a bullpen role, but he should be given the opportunity to start in AAA this season Yes, completely agree you give him every opportunity to start in AAA this season, but all signs are pointing towards a future in the bullpen. I know it's still early in his young career. Made no sense why Fulmer was rushed up last year. That was a head scratcher. #9 was Ian Happ which would of been a nice get.
