Quintana Rumors: Round and round and round we go
MY personal rankings of the top two hitting prospects with the teams most likely to trade for Quintana and be thrown in the deal: 1.New York: Torres/Rutherford 2. Houston: Bregman/Tucker. My gut tells me they go for that upper echelon pitcher and trade Bregman. 3. Dodgers: Bellinger/Verdugo 4. Colorado: Rogers/Tapia- No chance Dahl will be traded. Tapia is what pushes this ranking down. 5. New York: Torres/Frazier- 6. Pirates: Meadows/Bell

Quintana Rumors: Round and round and round we go
QUOTE (Dunt @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) I would send Q to the Cubs for that package. You basically have your entire roster settled by 2019 that way. C Collins 1B Abreu/Collins 2B Moncada SS Anderson 3B Candelario LF Happ CF ? RF Jiminez DH Collins/Abreu Candelario is a 30 defender at 3b. Has no chance ever playing adequately at 3B. Only position might be 1B, which his hitting profile doesn't fit at that position. Candelario is a DH type player. I have no interest in Candelario in any Cubs deal.

James Dykstra to Rangers for $
I've always wondered how much cash the teams get when making a trade for cash considerations. Anyone have an idea? I would guess $10,000-$50,000. Probably little lower than a Rule 5 pickup.

Quintana Rumors: Round and round and round we go
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Dec 14, 2016 -> 12:09 PM) I could really use a Quintana/Rockies rumor right about now. I would trade Quintana For Rogers, McMahon, Competetive balance pick#69, and 75% max of their international money. Rogers is the real deal. Imagine Rogers , Moncada, and Anderson up the middle.

White Sox sign Derek Holland
Outstanding signing. The perfect type of player if he bounces back can trade at the deadline .

Frazier Trade Discussion
Arroyo is a legit prospect. No way Giants give him up for 1 year of Frazier. He's their future 3B. Hit tool is plus.

Quintana Rumors: Round and round and round we go
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 12:54 PM) He gave up like 5 good prospects for Ken Giles. And Ken Giles isn't taht good. Also gave up 4 prospects for Carlos Gomez.

White Sox looking to deal Robertson
Best scenario Jansen signs with the Marlins. Dodgers and Nationals go into a bidding war and have to raise the stakes.

Eaton to Nats/Giolito, Lopez, Dunning to Sox
QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 09:37 PM) Lopez has an outstanding curve and glimpses of a plus-change. He'll definitely be a starter, imo. He's 6' 185...not talking about a tiny guy here. He's listed at 6ft if you look at him probably little shorter. Adam Eaton was listed 5ft 10 with Arizona. The curveball is no where near a plus pitch right now. For every 5 curveballs he might throw 1 plus. Lopez is very inconsistent with that pitch and lack of fastball command hurt his first go around in the majors.

Eaton to Nats/Giolito, Lopez, Dunning to Sox
Absolute love the trade. High ceiling pitchers that our system lacked. I think we will see the 2015 Giolito and Cooper will have him go back to his old mechanics and add a cutter to his arsenal. I love Dunning Throws three plus pitches. Needs at least 2 years of development, but has a chance to be a #3 SP. My thought on Lopez is a reliever, but a dam good one. I think Lopez tiny stature and lack of breaking ball will put him in the bullpen. With a great chance to being high leverage RP in the late innings.

Quintana Rumors: Round and round and round we go
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 07:22 AM) I could be convincable the other way, but my initial impression is that I'm unhappy with that package for Quintana without Bregman. Can you make a case the other way? Agree I'm not making a deal with the Astros unless Bregman is involved.

Quintana Rumors: Round and round and round we go
Let's continue talks with Rizzo/Nationals regarding Quintana. Package of Robles, Giolito starting point again.

2016-17 free agency thread (NON WHITE SOX RELATED)
It's worth the risk for Theo. Cubs have no spot for Soler in their lineup. I agree though on Davis. He's a TJS waiting to happen. Went on the DL twice for forearm strain, which is a lot times is a precursor for TJS.

Sox/Rockies talking Abreu or Frazier
No chance Rockies are trading Dahl. Too valuable and legit tools across the board. Murphy stock has risen this year. Plays solid defense and has improved his pitch framing. Strength is his hitting power. One of the better catching prospects. Will be Rockies starting catcher this year.

Players non-tendered
Cubs non tender 3B/Christian Villanueva. Would like the Sox to take a chance on him. Doubt he gets through. Had no where to play and broke his leg last year.

Avi Garcia tendered a $3 million contract
Garcia doesn't bring one positive tool to the team. The only positive thing I keep on hearing from a small minority is he's 25 years old. Everyone who has eyes that work can tell you Garcia deficits make him a liability to a team. Disappointed our front office couldn't figure it out. Make an eye appointment!!!

The CBA is done - formerly the CBA is not done thread
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 03:41 PM) So no Otani till about 2019-2020 huh? That sucks. Sucks for the Cubs. They were going after him hard and let Arrieta walk. Messes up Theo's plans.
