Projected Starters for Sox games
Not sure if this topic belongs here so I'll let the admins do with it what they want accordingly. I am trying to buy tickets for the Sox-Rangers series coming up but I want to know specifically when Yu Darvish is pitching. Is there information for this anywhere? Thanks in advance!

Their Sawks at our Sox - 4.26.2012
I only want to see Santiago when we are up by a ton or down by a ton. No more giving up bombs to close games. Does anyone remember that Cleveland game he saved? He gave a bomb there too. It's just too risky when the games are practically ours for the taking. GO SOX! Sweep dem bastards!

White Sox @ Oakland 4.25 game thread 2:35pm
No more of Santiago he sucks! He has given up atleast 4-5 homers closing. That is sick. I don't want to see him out there again unless we are up by a lot or down by a lot! I am so ticked off.

Dodgers vs. White Sox Gamethread
From one bad game, people are ready to hang the kid? He had like minimal amount of starts in AA or single A? He has to develop. Just relax.

k0na breaks story on Danks 5 years/$65mil ext...Heyman confirms
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 23, 2011 -> 10:37 AM) But there's no way to know that with Danks, as he had no ability to test the market. I think Danks stayed in Chicago because overall, he's happy being here and with his brother. Jared Weaver from the Angels signed an extention below market value just because he was happy to be around where he grew up. Not all players are trying to make the most dough. Some are just trying to play ball in a comfortable environment.

Adam Dunn is not done
I'm glad he kept it underwraps too as to not make excuses for his 2011 failure. I think we all deep down root for DUNN, but I cannot cheer on professionals who have devoted their lives to this art who fail at it. I think DUNN will win "Comeback Player of the Year!" GO SOX!

Pitching poachers; who's left?
QUOTE (WHITESOXRANDY @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 12:10 PM) Now, most of the big name pitching has been moved. Let's talk about what teams might be after Danks, Floyd and Thornton. It looks to me like Boston, Yankees, Baltimore, Texas and Nationals are pretty much the teams to deal with. Red Sox need the most pitching help in the rotation and the pen. Yanks could also use both but not as much. Baltimore has always wanted Floyd. Texas, we know, wants Danks back. The Nationals need a starter. There are other teams out there that will likely be interested in an elite LH set-up man for only a $ 12 mil. investment. If the Sox are truly rebuilding now then I don't see why they would keep Thornton and Danks past the winter. Danks is in demand and the return only drops once the season starts. He clearly isn't going to re-sign with the Sox so logic says...trade now. Thornton is not needed on a team that is going nowhere and the salary relief is much needed. They should be able to get a good prospect for him. How good remains debatable. Still, no reason to keep. Gavin is under control for 2 more years so the Sox might want to keep him for this year so the team isn't guaranteed last place without him and Danks. Also, it would give the young guys another year to develop. I would hold onto him 1 more year. Of course, all depends on the offers the Sox get. Any mystery teams not listed here? Does anybody think that the Sox keep all 3 of these guys? Or, even 2? Who cares about last place if you're rebuilding?

2011 ALDS Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees Thread
I'm rooting for the Tigers. All of you people and your sour grapes are just butthurt because they stuck the dick so far up our asses during the regular season. Yeah it blows, I'll admit. The Tigers are representing the AL Central... you know the weak ass AL Central that everyone claimed. Our division just beats the s*** out of each other that it seems weak. It was nice to see the central represenative not get swept like some b****es... see TWINS. Go Tigers!

Robin Ventura Named White Sox Manager
I'll wait to pass judgement to see what kind of team we have in ST. If this is a get me over manager while we rebuild, all of us should be pretty pissed.

Your favorite moment(s) of the 2011 season?
I liked most of the answers you gave but you guys missed some important ones! Verlander getting thrashed after the ASB! (His last loss of the season FWIW) Walk off Balk! Viciedo's first game and hit a 3-run blast. (I know Ozzie felt friggin' salty) Same game when Flowers hit a grand slam!

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 08:53 AM) White Sox winning percentage under Ozzie Guillen: .525 White Sox winning percentage under Kenny Williams: .530 Off topic but if you round the winning percentage, it's the same. Just thought I'd give the Ozzie lovers some more ammunition.

Offseason Plans
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 11:35 AM) On the list of reasons to keep or not keep certain starting pitchers... I think whether or not you have a 2nd lefty in the rotation falls somewhere only slightly more important that nose-picking ability. All else equal, sure, I love a good nose picker. Or a 2nd lefty in the rotation. Whichever. But all else is never equal - you get the best pitchers you can. (Removed)

Offseason Plans
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 28, 2011 -> 10:39 AM) Next year's starting rotation should be....IMO: - Sale - Peavy - Floyd - Humber - Stewart/Axelrod Lineup should be...IMO: - De Aza - Beckham - Konerko - Viciedo - Dunn - Rios - Ramirez - AJP - Morel Lillibridge platoon with De Aza, Flowers is back-up catcher You realize that SP rotation has only one left hander? You need Danks or Buehrle.
