Great Ab for Anderson
Only 'watching' on Gameday but it seems he swung at one way out of the zone and took what should have been strike 3?

If a stat shows Delmonico as the Sox top prospect, the stat is probably pretty flawed.
I'm not saying I agree with how high they are on him, but I would have him higher than the traditional scouts have him. In general the system has got some nice results, it's obviously not going to hit all the time.
My boy Eddy Alvarez 5-5, 2B. Hitting solidly above league average now, as he has at every stop so far.
Yosmer Solorzano 6.0 IP, 3ER, 0BB, 8K. Unlucky ERA aside has been solid at Great Falls as a 19 year old.

Nicky Delmonico has been on fire in his last 10 games. I still think he projects as a major league bat, just not sure what position he ends up at. If I were the Sox, I'd give him as much playing time in LF as possible.
He's certainly intriguing. KATOH projects him as the White Sox's top prospect and the 111th prospect in the game, I assume mainly based on his 2016 destruction in Birmingham.

Oh God. Mr Hindsight is back again.
That's literally the opposite of someone who pointed out exactly this was going to happen

Every poster who praised this trade lost any credibility they may have had. Shields is the worst pitcher the White Sox have ever acquired.
Also every poster who talked about Shields being "fixed" after his fluke run, and everyone who sarcastically dismissed people pointing out his peripherals

Everyone else is a liar. He is a truth teller.
Maybe he just doesn't know the definitions.
Huh, whaddya now, we agree with each other when it's not baseball

Oh his .500+ BABIP and nearly .400 average are not sustainable. He'll come back down at some point (though there's less than a month left in their season). But its impressive enough that at the very least he's caught my eye. And hearing (mostly) good things about his defense, combined that's enough that he's one of those just-off-the-radar guys I like to keep track of and try to get more info on.
Would you know any way of tracking down the highest BABIP in MiLB history?
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 11:57 PM)
So the free agents Hahn signed this offseason were:
- Avila
- Jackson
- Navarro
- Albers
- Rollins
- Latos
That's impressive
WAR:
0.7
0.0
-0.2
-0.9
-0.1
0.0
Total: -0.5 WAR for $17m.
And I'd argue a good bit worse than -0.5 when accounting for Navarro's framing.
Yikes.
QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 07:54 PM)
BABIP too high.
I'm actually fascinated with this, the all-time MLB record for BABIP in a season (more than 150 PA) was .438, set in 1897, and Schnurbusch is rocking a .541 through 170 PA. Gotta be close to an MiLB record?

The walk rate sucks but 9.8 k/9 i.
8.3 actually. And looks worse as K%. But I was talking more about K:BB.
