  1. I also think, that when I go to work in the morning, instead of people buying the NY Daily News which is one on the list there, people are going to grab the free Metro or AM New York instead, to save a few bucks every week and still get informed. And that's obviously hurting the bottom line of these companies.
  2. My money's on Christian or MVP to win that. Christian moving to Smackdown and cashing in the MITB to beat John Cena (do you realistically think that he's not going to win that match against 2 heels considering the WWE's recent history) would be a nice swerve.
  3. Hanley would be extremely tough to turn down. Someone who's only 25, plays in a premium position, would be a 40/40 threat in our ballpark and playing for our team, and could hit leadoff for us. But I'll throw out some other names that haven't been mentioned. David Price - Argubly the best pitching prospect in baseball ATM. Would be a fixture in our rotation for at least 5-6 seasons. Rick Porcello - Same deal, and you'd take him away from the Tigers. Matt Wieters - How would you like him at catcher for the next decade? Flowers could move to 1B. Of course I'm looking at the above 3 from a long - term point of view. But if I were choosing a player, it'd be very hard to turn down one of the 4 from above that's for sure.
  4. Isn't Bosh from Texas, and I think I read Dallas will be able to offer him a max deal in 2010 also?
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 11, 2009 -> 09:38 AM) Great strategy, because it won't happen. The Bears will not pay a franchise QB. They never have, and they never will under this management. And unless you have an elite defense then, you won't win the big one in the NFL without a franchise QB in this day and age.
  6. Whack Off. No I would prob agree with maggsmaggs that I would take a leak before going to bed.
  7. BTW, after reading this, the BK Burger Shots doesn't sound or look too appealing IMO; http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2008/1...er-burgers.html
  8. FWIW, last season, BA post ASB had splits of .240/.283/.500 for a .783 OPS. Albeit that only came from 50 AB's so it's a very small sample size, but if he could put up something close to that (OBP around .300 and a SLG around the .450 mark), I would certainly take that for our CF considering the defense that BA gives you. I think at least a platoon situation b/w him and Owens in the worst case scenario if Owens is starting, should be at least explored (BA had an OPS of .824 against lefties last season).
  9. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 03:55 PM) I had Burger Kind in Australia -- only it's called Hungry Jack's there -- this is how much BK sucks balls. Their Aussie Burger is a BK Whopper with cheese + a fried egg, a slice of ham and shaved beets. It sucked. Because BK sucks. I think it's actually only called Hungry Jacks in my own state back home, in most others I think it's still Burger King (how that works I don't know). And yes everything Aussie (Burger, Pizza) comes with egg and bacon usually. Still tastes like #### though.
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 03:06 PM) If it has to be one of the disappointing 3, hopefully its Anderson, since he can at least defend the position. That would pretty much force either Getz or Lillibridge to be the leadoff man, and I think the Sox are 50-50 on that scenario ATM. Best case scenario they're hoping is that Owens claims the job, but to do that, he's really got to pick it up from here.
  11. QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 01:51 PM) Is Wise the leader right now? Possibly, although his defense in CF prob ain't the greatest. I still think our CF on opening day could be outside the organization right now. Owens is just shooting himself in the foot ATM, and needs to pick it up ASAP.
  12. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 10:10 AM) I bet you would make a fearsome Maori warrior DBAHO Yeah I'd try to do the Haka (and probably not very well at that).
  13. Either way, it's nice to have some depth for those 4th/5th starter jobs right now, and hopefully Colon and Contreras continue to impress, because it sounds like they're impressing everyone over in Glendale ATM.
  14. New Zealand Town seems like a fun place to visit.
  15. If the Magic face the Pistons in the playoffs, we're done. Rip Hamilton is our Kryptonite.
  16. His $$$$ demands is going to have to come down from what it is now though obviously. And didn't the Yankee pitchers not enjoy pitching to him last season also?

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 01:27 PM) (borrowing from your other post in the catch all...) Boinking one (or more)? Yeah that would be good (boinking's always good fun). Safe to say, when I get drunk though, I have trouble speaking coherently to say the least.
  18. I wish I could have an office experience like that (unfortunately there are no hotties in my department). The closest thing I would come to that, is hearing my roommate bang (or the word boinking has become quite popular of late) his office girl in our bedroom (I got kicked out at 5 in the morning on a weekend, and had to sleep on the couch, because I had to "take one for the team").

QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 8, 2009 -> 04:54 PM) Just so we are all clear.....this was yesterday? Saturday. Drinking from 2 in the afternoon to 6 the next morning. One of the best, if not the best, all day session I've ever had. Lots if girls dressed in skimpy little green outfits, what more could you ask for.

  21. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Mar 6, 2009 -> 04:57 PM) Andre Johnson - Yes Larry Fitzgerald - Yes Brandon Marshall - Yes Greg Jennings - Debatable Anquan Boldin - Debatable Reggie Wayne - Debatable Steve Smith - I would actually say yes Randy Moss - Yes Roddy White - Debatable Hines Ward - Debtable Marques Colston - Debtable Chad Jonson (I'll chalk up last year as an aberration) - Definitely not Donald Driver - No Torry Holt - No Calvin Johnson - I would also say yes.
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 6, 2009 -> 05:06 PM) Do you find it strange that people in the States have no idea about that sport whatsoever? No, not really.
