  1. Good party school of course.
  2. Now c'mon. Where's the Borch >>> Timo post? FWIW I still think Borch will make this team. If it comes down to him or Ross Gload, I think they go with Borch after the issues Gload had with management last season. Of course Ben Grieve could still come into play as well, but I'm expecting him to start down at Charlotte.
  3. West Ham killed Birmingham 3-0 this morning. We're now tied on points with Arsenal. I never thought I'd ever see that.
  4. Interesting to say the least (also I see Joe Cowley has left the Southtown for the Sun-Times now);
  5. So do we have any of the leagues setup yet?
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 04:05 PM) Well, the US beat Japan 3-2 yesterday because of Tayler Twellman's absolute awesomeness. Italy and the Czech's will be hard to beat. Cech and Nedved are top players and Baros is a pretty unknown commodity and Smicer is a great leader. It will be hard for the US to not finish third. Ghana also has Samuel Kaffour. They've also got Marek Jankulovski, Jan Koller (mammoth striker up front). They made the final of the European Championship a few years ago IIRC. One of the more underrated teams in international soccer for sure.
  7. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 06:49 PM) USA has quite a bit of talent. They will be losing some of the long time leaders from the prior cup teams, but at the same time we will be stepping up a notch in terms of talent and some of our younger players who excelled in the world cup last year (it was some of those guys coming out parties) will be a little more seasoned and ready. Plus we have some of the best goalkeeping in the world, in fact, I think aside from Germany we have the best goal keeping in the world. Brad Friedel or Tim Howard will be your GK right? If so, I consider these GK's to be better at least; Peter Cech - Czech Republic Gianluigi Buffon - Italy Jose Manuel Reina - Spain
  8. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 01:00 PM) Definately too early for this, but I won't be missing a US world cup game. I followed the cup avidly 4 years ago and a little when they were in France and the US befor that. Last time was fun...the US got so close to getting past Germany. Just a question, I saw U.S.A were ranked 9th in the world or something? I don't honestly believe they should be that high, as I think these countries are better (just a topic for discussion to try and get the ball rolling). England Brazil Argentina Holland France Italy Czech Republic Germany Spain Portugal
  9. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 07:33 AM) Some desperate team should sign both Ryan Leaf and TO. I'd buy a ticket just to watch the sideline. Too bad Bronco Billy still ain't in charge in Denver isn't it.
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 05:33 PM) Actually, I guess I could ask the same question. I also have 8 locked up. Need two more. M.Giles,S.Hillenbrand,C.Tracy,L.Overbay Radke/Greinke I could keep both the hitters, it doesnt have to be 1 pitcher, 1 hitter. I'd keep Tracy and Giles. I know some people think Tracy may regress a little in 2006, but if he can play every game he's definitely got the capability to hit 30-100 going on how he hit in the 2nd half of 05.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 04:39 PM) Solid thread. What does it rate to be a solid thread?
  12. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 04:04 AM) This actually might be a blessing for Young. This break will force the D-Backs not to rush him. A year at AAA may be real good for him. I think with the signings of DaVanon and Byrnes that was always going to be the plan with Young anyway, and it's the right one. Just imagine that young core they're going to have about 2 years from now.
  13. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 03:15 PM) Hey guys. Im cooler than you As in a colder place geographically, I'll giv u that.

    QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 03:26 PM) That'd be me B) U need new jeans.
  15. LOOK OUTSIDE YOU MOTHERFUCERS!!!!! I SEE NOTHING BUT 90 DEGREE TEMPERATURES AND SUN!!!! Oh wait...........
  16. Oh please god let this happen; I've heard rumors where we may have to give up a 1st round pick as well. So long as it's protected (GM school 101 that Mr. Thomas didn't take), I'd possibly be willin to do it. Wouldn't like to, but if that's what it takes to get Darko, do it. Oh and Otis, quit with the injuries excuse. It's getting old already.
  17. QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 11, 2006 -> 11:34 PM) I can't believe you guys humored this .... um .... poster for nine pages. Gotta do something to get thru the day you know YAS.
  18. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 11, 2006 -> 06:19 PM) Yeah, the Sox released him according to recent reports. Dang it, there goes my AAP.
  19. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Feb 11, 2006 -> 05:06 PM) Go Aston Villa and USA/ Sweden Aston Villa, HA. You guys have a chairman who just won't spend. West Ham is where it's at. We've won 6 in a row, and could get a place in Europe when it's all said and done. I know Soxy and Irish71 are big Celtic fans though.
  20. Trade down and take Ferguson. Not the sexy pick, but it's the right one.
  21. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Feb 11, 2006 -> 12:43 PM) Well, that was well received. Probably cos not many people here are interested in Soccer, and the World Cup doesn't start for about 4 months.
  22. Hedo Turkoglu just threw 3 bad passes in a row, on Orlando's last 3 possesions. He's not a starting small forward in this league. He needs to start coming back off the bench ASAP. And wouldn't u know it, soon as I say that, he gets a steal of his own, and scores an easy deuce.
  23. Thoughts and Prayers with you dude.
  24. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 11, 2006 -> 04:16 AM) Damn it, I always find the real fun threads by the second page, I'm never able to get in on the fun at the beginning. Hey at least it's earlier then me.
