I for one have long been a backer of making the site bigger and better, and this will definitely give us a leg up on the competition.

The good news only thread
I am on holidays for a week. My cat is still able to walk. I have lots of money saved up from work for the future. The weather is still beautiful and sunny down here. Football season has started. I have lots of chocolate to still eat from Easter. White Sox start very, very soon.

Widger??
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 01:24 AM) Once again, I wouldn't read too much into Burkes CS% as he was MB's catcher. Ahh yes my bad, I don't won't you to get into a whole Juggs argument with me now.

Nba bargains and overpaid players...
QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 01:14 AM) Kyle Korver, hes from Iowa, good for him...but lets be honest :puke sums it up best for me Well I just threw that out there to see how you all felt. He's been great shooting 3's this season though, and probably would come cheaper than the MLE if the Bulls miss out on Donyell Marshall.

Widger??
QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) It's all about flying under the radar If we wanted an old backup catcher, why not keep Sandy? In the end, this will not factor in a single win or loss this season. BTW, IMHO, Widger will not be here in July. This could be a giant :finger wakeup call for Davis. I've heard other teams didn't want to claim Davis not only because of his injury, but because they don't think he can handle being a backup instead of a starter. And Sandy's got nothing left, he was brutal defensively behind the plate, perhaps Widger is an upgrade on Burke on that regard? Although, in 2002, Widger threw out 6 of 18 runners and had a CERA of 4.39, while Burke last season threw out 8 of 19 runners and had a CERA of 4.78.

Nba bargains and overpaid players...
QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) The Bulls need a younger 3 point shooter that can handle the ball. (Besides Gordon) Qwerty's going to use his new slogan on me with this suggestion; Kyle Korver.

Around The Majors
QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) Kim in Coors Field. That's a scary thought. Could it actually be possible they could have a worse closer numbers wise than what Shawn Chacon did last season?
-
Bulls @ bobcats.
FWIW Pietrus had 21 points tonight off the bench in 27 minutes, hitting 6 of 9 and 8 from 9 from the FT line. I wouldn't mind the Magic trading one of their 1st's in the draft for him, to get a nice SG combo in Pietrus and Stevenson assuming Doug Christie's contract is bought out.

Robert Person come on down
QUOTE(Beastly @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) Alright then, quickman has spoken, i'm just a youngin who doesn't know anything, right? Don't take things so personally there Beastly. Widger has obviously impressed the Sox enough to be given an oppurtunity, and if Davis is traded, and Widger struggles, Burke is the next in line to get called up.

CBS Sportsline AL Central Preview
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) So 4 million a year is overpaid? I'm pretty sure he signed a 4 or 5 year deal, not a 8 year deal. Bad reporting once again, something that's becoming a common theme with these previews.
