  1. Man I haven't been invovled in this thread yet and it looks like I've missed out on all of the fun. To those who think Eddy Curry is going to contribute after this season, in his contract year, take a look at the likes of Michael Stewart, Jerome James, Calvin Booth and Erick Dampier to show that handing out big fat contracts to big fat guys who don't rebound or play defense isn't a wise move. Sign Dalembert, sign Marshall and move on.
  2. That I want the season to start now. It's been too long not seeing any baseball for me.
  3. Who do the Giants have backing up Ray Durham at second base at the moment? Because you know he'll probably get injured sometime this season, and they could use a quality backup like Harris if they don't have one already. I like the idea of going after some of the Giants' young arms, Sox should definitely be looking into it.
  4. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 09:33 AM) Nice how some of us got screwed over in the draft. Stupid Illini.
  5. QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 10:33 AM) even when Magglio was here the payroll was still in the high 70's If we had a $95 payroll we could have Maggs, Colon, and prolly a few other solid players plugged into this team.. But would you pay Colon and Ordonez the deals that they are on now?
  6. And I'm going to move this to the Fantasy Forum.
  7. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) We gotta streaker in the building I had guy falling down the stairs behind the batters box, but hey whatever's good.
  8. QUOTE(hi8is @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 06:44 AM) this s*** worries me: Jesse Crain, RP, Twins Crain won't notch many saves in his first full season in the majors, but he's arguably the best relief prospect in the game. In 162 career minor league innings, Crain has struck out 207 and walked only 53. Most impressively, he's coughed up only five homers over that span. He's a classic power reliever, with a mid-90s fastball and late-breaking slider. He'll be setting up Joe Nathan for this year, but don't be surprised if he's racking up saves for the Twins in future seasons. Long-term grade: A- There's more Twinkies pitching prospects from where that came from.
  9. I'm going with Pac Man Jones if he falls to them. And Williamson will go above Mark Clayton, that is pretty much a given.
  10. Guys I'm bumping this thread because I'm letting everyone know that I did buy a Wireless Bridge yesterday for my XBOX and now I have XBOX Live. My handle is DBAH0, same as on here, and I'd love to play some SoxTalk guys here on some Halo 2, Burnout 3 etc. plus you get to talk to the Aussie. Just PM me on talk to me on AIM if u want to.
  11. The Wizards are limping home, Larry Hughes is complaining about his role on offense, the Bulls should get home court advantage.
  12. QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) just read this entire thread. and I agree with you. everyone here never gave this guy the benefit of the doubt. oh well. I see you can get banned for anything around here. All of the admin have access to everyone's IP, we don't just ban people for nothing.
  13. The Vikings are going to have these 5 linebackers if they draft DJ. I predict a trade down. Johnson, Cowart, Thomas, Henderson, Harris.
  14. Utah within 6 in the 2nd half, Bogut needs to get goin from the field, been great on the boards though.
  15. Crede = No way he'll get traded now. Borch and Harris I could possibly believe. A guy like Wilson Betemint? from the Braves might not make the 25 man roster, and could be waived IIRC, and I know the Nats were very interested in him.
  16. Now let's all pull together for the Bogut Watch.
  17. Oh boy Ewing makes a clutch 3. 66-63 Spartans.
  18. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 08:45 PM) His 4.5 PPG have blown me away... Piat (how much is he making?) - 4.5 points, .408% on 3's. Pat Garrity (on a 5 year $15 million deal) - 4.5 points, .352% on 3's.
  19. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) I would say they shouldn't. They need the advantage against you. I know, I know, I'm thinkin that right about now.
  20. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 03:52 AM) AS am I..being a fly ball pitcher.. scares me. That really shouldn't be the main reason to worry about him, Garcia's a flyball pitcher and most people aren't too worried about him.
  21. And I'm pretty sure there's going to be an opening day tailgate as well.
  22. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) This begs the question: They have proms down under? I guess you guys couldn't take your dates to Outback afterwards huh? Simply not the same. No Proms down here (if you read the whole other thread), we've mainly got Formal's and Deb's down here instead. And considering I live about 20 minutes on the outskirts of Melbourne, no I guess you can't really take your girl out to the Outback. We're all not Outback Jacks down here.
  23. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 01:16 PM) Enjoy living your life remembering those great days at...High School. Get your priorities straight, High School and prom in general mean absolutely nothing. Take it from a guy who spent far too much money on prom. In ten years, no one talks about how he or she had a great time at prom. High School is a gigantic waste of time and should be remembered as such. Drinking yourself silly is a far better waste of your money. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
  24. Wow this is a hard pick to say the least, because they've actually filled their needs on their LB's and CB's with the acquisitions of Sam Cowart and Fred Smoot. So I'm going to say a suprise pick in Troy Williamson since Edwards and Williams will most likely be off the board.
