I can't see the Expos tradin him anyways afta he signed a new contract, especially if they find a new home. They'll need all the good players they can get.
-
That's why they want Deng so bad. Expect the Antawn Jamison to Chicago rumors to heat up.
-
Hope u are havin a great birthday Jim! Congrats!

Ok if I'm the Bulls, I do whateva I can to get Deng or a veteran from here. The Clippers will prob take Deng unless Q-Rich resigns with them instead of boltin to Denver. Livingston is the sleeper at that pick but 2's too early for him. I try to swing a 3 way trade givin up sum1 like a Fizer so that the Bulls can move up 1 spot and the Clips get a point guard which they desperately need.

YES!!!!!! Man was I worried last nite, I thought for sure some team otha than the Magic were goin to get the 1st pick. Emeka Okafor welcome to Orlando.

I'm pretty sure Rauch will get the nod for when the 5th starter pitches for the White Sox, he was 3-0 in his last 3 or 4 starts with a 1.50 ERA I believe. Good to see him get his velocity back, and hopefully he can grasp this oppurtunity if he gets it. Even betta to see Borchard hittin well from both sides of the plate, although hopfeully he can increase his average against lefties up to the .300 mark.

From Barry Rozner from the Daily Herald, Steve Finley would be nice, and Ichiro might be nicer. The team will need a closer, but first things first: The White Sox need a veteran starter, and Montreal has the perfect guy. White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf, chairman of Major League Baseball's relocation committee, should get with Expos owner Bud Selig and tell his pal to relocate Livan Hernandez to the South Side of Chicago before the bidding war begins in earnest. The Expos haven't been this bad for four years, and the auction isn't far off. Hernandez is only 29 but seems like he has been around forever already. Maybe that's because he was NLCS and World Series MVP as a rookie in 1997 when he was 4-0 in the postseason. He has pitched in the playoffs three times and the World Series twice, and in the last four years he has averaged 14 wins and 229 innings. This season, despite the Expos' awful start, Hernandez is 3-3 with a 2.96 ERA in 10 starts and a major-league leading 73 innings (2 complete games). He has thrown very well in 8 of his 10 starts and should have 6 or 7 victories. Hernandez signed a three-year extension this spring that will pay him a very reasonable $8 million in 2005 and 2006, followed by $7 million in 2007. He also knocked his 2004 salary from $6 million to $4 million when he inked the new contract, meaning the Sox' portion for this year would be only $2.6 million if they brought him in today. Hernandez fits in as one of your top three starters and would make you feel better long term about Jon Garland and Scott Schoeneweis at the end of the rotation. White Sox general manger Kenny Williams fleeced the Expos once already in the Bartolo Colon deal. Time to do it again. Swap meet The flea market also is about to begin in Kansas City, perhaps by June 1, and here are several players the Cubs or the White Sox may want to look at: Center fielder Carlos Beltran, shortstop Angel Berroa, catcher Benito Santiago, infielder Tony Graffanino, outfielder Matt Stairs and relievers Jason Grimsley and Scott Sullivan. Catch this White Sox fans can play catch in the outfield during the 2004 Yard Sale on June 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Advance reservations are required - (312) 674-5121 - and space is limited to 500 fans per hour session. Besides Family Field Day, fans also can shop at the annual Garage Sale, featuring new, used and autographed equipment from current and former players. Just Skilling Bernie Lincicome of the Rocky Mountain News: "They might be able to predict hurricanes and tornadoes, but meteorologists have been unable to explain why the air is thinner at Coors Field more often in the top of an inning.'' Just passing From CBS' Craig Kilborn: "To avoid the embarrassment of ordering the Lingerie Football League, it will show up on your cable bill labeled 'porn.'æ'' Best quote Arizona manager Bob Brenly, on Giants fans' frustration at never getting to see Barry Bonds bat: "It's his fault for being so good.'' And finally ... Comedian Alex Kaseberg on Jessica Simpson singing the national anthem at the Indy 500: "Asked to comment, Jessica said, 'Normally, I perform to larger crowds, but it will be good to sing to just 500 people.'æ''

Otha Guy "Good ol Rock, nothin beats Rock!" :headshake -
Very cool there Cheat.

I just guess it's because when he looks bad, it's bad. Valentin is a top 10 SS in the league, behind Nomar, Tejada, Jeter etc. The problem is is that he's overpaid at $5 million so ppl expect more out of him, but the SS position is 1 that is very high in demand, but not in supply.
