  1. Yeah, I guess my 2nd team is always whoever the Twins are playing. Having spent most of my life in MN and all my friends being Twins fans, that is my other way of consuming baseball.
  2. As frustrating as being a Sox fan can be, I would never even consider changing my fandom. Its in my blood. For better or worse.
  3. Is today a full day, or is it like pre covid that the hotel empties after the Rule 5?
  4. Zzzzzzz not a single trade of note yet this WM.
  5. Where is the Greek PK? We need some more rumors!
  6. "After another past ball from Grandal, Grifol is headed to the mound to retrieve Graterol from this contest"
  7. Its a junk burner account. Can mostly disregard. Sox aren't signing Eovaldi.
  8. So only top 6 are up for grabs otherwise you just slot into your spot ya?
  9. Curious to hear these terms. Guessing 3/$40Mish in this market.
  10. We'll never hear the end of it from @CaliSoxFanViaSWside if Sox actually acquire Outman. I think I am "Out, Man" for that reason alone.
  11. This. Josh Bell is a fine hitter, but he's awful anywhere you put him defensively. Cleveland is slightly better than they were an hour ago, but color me mostly unconcerned about Josh Bell.
  12. Where he went on to say Kelenic is his OD LF.
  13. Thankfully the sox pitching staff is pretty much full.
  14. It also punts a chances to make the playoffs, which is quite literally the whole point of this thing. The Sox were never selling last July. Its not even worth discussing.
  15. The White Sox were 2 GB on the central and 2.5 GB on the wild card on deadline day. There was a 0% chance they were trading any of those guys.
  16. To be clear, that quote was from 2017. Not yesterday.
  17. I don't even know that I would deem it optimism at this stage. I certainly don't expect us to hand our a contract bigger than Yaz. I just don't think $180M is as hard of a limit as some do. Even Jimmy was saying just a week ago he expected the Sox to surpass their 2022 payroll. I get everyone is frustrated and the tenor of recent discussions from the FO aren't super encouraging, but I will at least let things play out before lighting my pitchfork. I am certain the club we have now isn't what we'll have come April.
  18. Yes a couple times earlier in the offseason.
