  1. I just don’t get how you trade a potential solution to our decades long issues in RF. Above average defender, left handed stick, power, Cuban, cost controlled. Just don’t see how you can trade him.
  2. Improves OF defense and lineup balance. Solves Sox Pollock option issues/concerns for 2023. 2022 $ mostly a wash. I think it makes some sense for both sides with NY just done with Gallo and getting someone they can plug right into the OF.
  3. I just can’t see the Sox trading Colas.
  4. Yep. Joc is the last thing this club needs.
  5. Lol. You always act like you have all the answers to what ails this team and then propose a package like this. The Pirates would laugh at a Crochet + Sheets + Burger and "a low level minor leaguer or two" offer. "Here, take my older spare parts, and give me your most valuable asset" Running a baseball org would be easy if you can dictate the terms of every transaction like its a video game.
  6. I'd flip Pollock for Gallo. Sort of solves two problems. Gallo probably sucks, but so does Pollock.
  7. All the DHs!
  8. They could option him though. There is no IL in the offseason.
  9. No argument from me on this points. AV should be in LF when he plays the OF, which means Pollock needs to be in RF. I actually expect to the see an OF of Eloy/Engel/AV tonight with Pollock on the bench because Kopech is pitching which means Reese is going to catch, and Yaz probably DHs. Gonna be an adventure in the OF!
  10. Yep. This is the correct answer. Though id still prefer AV and Pollock flip flopped. Guessing Eloy plays tonight and not tomorrow. Sheets is almost certainly going to get at least 1 start in Denver too.
  11. Who is playing CF if Engel is in RF? Fat chance Sheets sits both games with righties going both games.
  12. Sheets and Burger have options are should be used as depth pieces only. Let them play defense everyday in AAA. Of course use them as trade bullets if anyone has interest. But I don’t think Sox should be trying to make room for either of those players at the big league level. And the same thing also held true for 22, but Sox stupidly broke camp with Sheets as a primary option.
  13. Pretty sure they’re back in chicago for the Oakland series. But yeah. Eloy needs to DH.
  14. Moreso letting him burn service time while sitting on the MLB IL if they are indeed letting him just have some "personal time". At least option him to AAA.
  15. Yep. Seems they've been hitting a few more homers lately, which should help at home. But yeah, I wouldn't be shocked to see Sox go anywhere from 9-10 to 13-7 on this stretch.
  16. This seems about right. I could easily see Twins going 7-10 in their next 17, which would put the Sox and Twins even at the end of this stretch. I don't see the Cleveland matching 12-7 in their next 19 either, as most all of MLB has taken care of the Guardians outside of the Sox. As @Y2Jimmy0 said on twitter over the weekend, they're just a bad matchup for the Sox. Twins: @ Milwaukee (2) 1-1 @ San Diego (3) 1-2 vs. Detroit (3) 2-1 vs. Toronto (4) 2-2 @. LA Dodgers (2) 0-2 @ LA Angels (3) 1-2
  17. For reference, the next stretch for Twins: @ Milwaukee (2) @ San Diego (3) vs. Detroit (3) vs. Toronto (4) @. LA Dodgers (2) @ LA Angels (3) For Guardians: @ Boston (4; good time to catch them tho) @ Rays (3) vs. Dbacks (3) vs. Astros (4) @ Tigers (3) @ Blue Jays (3)
  18. Nah. Looks at Minnesota and Cleveland's schedule. 12-7 and they're probably 2 GB or less.
  19. I think anything 11-8 or better keeps you in the hunt. But Sox need to make hay at some point, and no time like the next 19. I hope to see 12-7 or better.
  20. Baltimore isn’t a shitty team. Point remains, but Baltimore isn’t exactly exhibit A at this point.
  21. If he could be sent to Charlotte he wouldn’t be here anyway.
