Eloy rehab starts again 6/21
I agree but Sox don’t need more DHs. They should have acquired a real OF that hit LH not those 2. We saw how awful Pederson is in the OF this weekend.

Eloy rehab starts again 6/21
Yeah I mean Burger has hardly played since Yoan came up. AV being unable to play OF right now is certainly part of that. But may as well being Eloy up. Eloy, Engel and Hendriks up with Burger, Haseley and Lambert optioned.

Oscar Colas Story (Is this true?)
23.5 year old with an .850 ops in A+ ball? Yeah…I’d say he’s due for a promotion to AA.

Oscar Colas Story (Is this true?)
Back to the original topic, hopefully Sox move Colas up to AA this week. Social media hissy fit aside, he’s earned it.

Sox at San Fran 7/1/22 game thread I left my manager in San Francisco
Went to a concert last night so wasn’t able to watch. Was TLR using Banks as dumb as it looked in the box score? I assume there were a couple lefties coming up and we’re not exactly flush with great pen options atm, but Banks shouldn’t even be in the big leagues let alone pitching high leverage innings.

AND THAT'S A LEURY LEGEND WHITE SOX WINNER
Just watching highlights and Moncada hit a missile to the track that Mike Yaz made an incredible catch. I would image the xBA was quite high. Sox need Moncada…keep running him out there.

Oscar Colas Story (Is this true?)
Dudes not even a top 100 prospect. Maybe he should pump the breaks a bit if that’s his opinion. I am excited for the guy, but it’s not he’s some can’t miss guy. That said, there are several overdue promotions in the minors and Colas is high on the list.

Who should Sox fear the most, CLE or Minny?
Twins are a clusterfuck. Thing you love to see.

Shane Riordan's interview with Rick Hahn
Yeah, problem is if you grill him you’re never going to get the opportunity again. But I agree.

It's time to put Jose out to pasture
Its definitely an interesting predicament the Sox will find themselves in this offseason. In my opinion, Jose will be back if he wants to play. Only way he moves on is if he wants to (seems unlikely) or retires (would have said unlikely prior to season, but with his comments in ST, perhaps). It is hard to say this team would be better without Jose - I truly don't believe that - but the team sure falls into place a bit better defensively and lineup-balance wise if he's gone. Spend that $ on a real LH OF - I think I might jump back on that Nimmo bandwagon since he's an impending FA - move AV to 1st (can still play some LF on days when they wanna get Sheets in lineup) and move Eloy to DH fulltime. Anderson SS, Moncada 3B, Robert CF, AV 1B/LF, Eloy DH, Yaz C, Pollock LF, Nimmo RF, Harrison/Leury 2B (would hope they'd improve there, but won't hold my breath with the team option) BN: Leury/Harrison, Sheets, Engel, McGuire/Perez Team defense improves pretty drastically and much more balance in the the lineup. I think Pollock is probably back next year because he's unlikely to opt out on his end for 1/$10-12M, and with the $5M buyout, if the net cost is $5-7M for 1 year, I think Sox keep him around, which is probably fine.

Oscar Colas Story (Is this true?)
Hopefully he is back in the lineup today, continues to rake and gets promoted to AA next week. Keep the dude happy, we're gonna need him at some point.

6/29 GT: Sox @ LAAAAAA (Kopech v. Ohtani) - let's go streaking at 8:38 PM CT
Seems like a great day to fire Tony into the sun with the offday. Get Jirschele to San Fran by tomorrow and get this thing pointed in the right direction before the ASG. Otherwise, we're likely dead a week from today.

It's time to put Jose out to pasture
Right or wrong, If Jose wants to come back, he’ll be back. Likely for too much $.

I don’t really care to look it up rn but when it was brought up here that he said it a couple weeks back, I found the quote and it was a little more tame than the Soxtalk translation. in any event, it’s clearly still affecting him atm.

That’s not really what he said fwiw. He said he feels it and may for a bit. Never said it’s something he expects to feel rest of season, unless I missed it.

Oscar Colas Story (Is this true?)
I think if I was a prospect I’d be excited at the thought the org I play for isn’t scared of aggressive promotions to the big leagues.
