  1. Pretty sure Sox can keep him in AAA, and he has 1 option year remaining (this year), so can be brought up and sent back down this season. Will be out of options next season.
  2. He's really bounced around htis year. DFA'd by the Nats on 5/9, claimed by the Jays on 5/15, DFA'd by the Jays on 5/25, claimed by the Mariners on 5/28. Looks like the M's tried to slip him through waivers, and Sox claimed him. 5.82 career ERA in the bigs across 21.2 IP. 1 to 1 K to BB ratio. Has not pitched well in AAA this season either.

  4. Adolfo doesn't need to be in the bigs until OD 2022. The Sox got another option year due to all the injuries. He still has 2 more full season in the minors to stay healthy.
  5. I'd rather trade Rutherford than Adolfo. Adolfo could for sure end up really biting the Sox if they sell low. Rutherford could be a major league, but he has no chance to be a star. If Adolfo figures out how to be healthy, he could really blossom. Hard no on trading Micker.
  6. The benefit about Keuchel signing a 1 year deal is that he's a FA again in 5 months, and the Sox can nab him then if they want. And no pick attached this time.
  7. Is he though? I liked him alot as an option before we drafted Vaughn. Now 1B and DH are very crowded. I do not want an OF with Eloy and Ozuna as 2/3rds of it for any more than 1 season. This assumes Abreu stays around, which based on Hahn's comments a few weeks ago, seems pretty likely.
  8. Edwin Diaz isn't getting traded, and the other ones he listed are nowhere near as good as Colome.
  9. I would definitely trade Colome to the Twins. But the price would be steep. I hope like hell the twins are dumb enough to not pay for Kimbrel and then turn around and trade Lewis or Kirilloff for a reliever that make slightly less than Kimbrel. Obviously we're not getting either of those guys for Colome, but one can dream. I hope they blow their load on Ken Giles.
  10. What is your logic on this other than just viewing everything white sox related in a negative lens?
  11. Any word on if Hamilton is OK after apparently getting hit with a foul ball in the dugout a couple days back?
  12. Coffey was decent enough in rookie ball last year. Wonder why the released him.
  13. Hmmm, BR shows $11.5M and $1M buyout.
  14. It is $11.5M, but there is a $1M buyout.
  15. Yes it is. They aren't declining his option for $10.5M in savings.
  16. We appreciate all the work you guys put in! Thanks for sharing!
  17. I'd move Rendon to 2B, or Moncada back to 2B before I moved Moncada to RF.
  18. That is correct.
  19. Nah, hes arb eligible next season. Came in 2019 with a tad over 4 years service time. He won't be a FA until 2021. Too bad, I do like the fit.
  20. Give me Cole. And give me a lefty (Wood, Ryu, Hill - shit, maybe Bumgarner, but I don't see Cole and Bumgarner happening). Give me Grandal. Gennett is interesting on a 1 year deal, but he likely gets more. Dedtrich would be interesting too and his versatility is nice so we can use move him around when Madrigal arrives. But I don't think Dedtrich is a FA until 2021. Resign Abreu. I've banged the Castellanos and Ozuna drum, but with the Sox drafting Vaughn, it pigeonholes those guys into RF long term, as I believe Abreu will be resigned, and we also have Collins. No room for them to DH or shift to 1B, really. OF defense just too poor with Eloy and Castellanos/Ozuna, so just not sure there is really a fit. Line-up come June: Robert CF, Moncada 3B, Eloy LF, Abreu 1b, Grandal C, Gennett/Madrigal 2B, Anderson SS, Collins DH, Leury RF BN: McCann, Yolmer, Tilson/Cordell Rotation: Cole, Giolito, Kopech, Cease, Wood/Ryu
  21. No. Keeping running him out there every 5th day.
  22. No. Keeping running him out there every 5th day.
  23. Looks like a nice pick. Where's he committed?
  24. Moore's MLB.com scouting report: Moore is a big right-hander from Texas with big velocity -- the Arkansas-Little Rock junior is 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, and his fastball gets up to 98 mph. That gives him plenty of strikeout potential -- he had 22 K's in his 17 2/3 innings this season. But he needs to work on his delivery and strike-throwing. Moore actually had more walks, 23, than strikeouts this season.
