I rewatched all the MCU films and I have to say that the original Avengers film is one of the best written blockbusters of like the past 20 years. It might be the worst looking and ugliest movie of the past 20 years when you consider it cost $200M and the sets look like a CW show but man it’s a damn good time. I wonder what Infinity War/Endgame would be like if Whedon was still running things. Age of Ultron definitely got better with age too, I haven’t watched it since it came out on Blu Ray and liked it a whole lot more. It might be the best looking MCU film, everything isn’t muted and grey like everything else. I still love the Hawkeye stuff, hopefully Whedon can run his series on Disney+.

I agree with some of the earlier posters that the org should let Cease build up his innings and call him up once he’s going 6IP+ regularly. I know the Sox are struggling to rack up quality starts or even decent outings with regularity but that doesn’t mean they should rush a prospect to fill a need at the ML level.

While the slave trade was abolished (slavery still exists today in different forms like human trafficking and private prisons), emancipation didn’t really solve all black people‘s problems in this country. Racism, bigotry and xenophobia was and is alive and well. I haven’t heard that take before. Edit: Did they seriously suggest that slavery ended black oppression in America? Hot damn.

Stop saying that, this is a new scouting and player development staff for the Sox. Getz and Hostetlet haven’t drafted and developed this type of player before and just because something doesn’t work out, it doesn’t mean you should stop. I mean Adam Dunn didn’t work out, should the Sox stop signing LH power bats? If the Sox want to be a consistent winner, they need to be able these type of players as they have the highest ceilings. You also don’t want a system devoid of athleticism.

We should keep track of how many runs Renteria cost the Sox/give to the opposing team.

Yeah, it is severely top heavy. After you get by Madrigal and Robert, you're going to find a lot of bullpen guys and utility types. They really need to hit on their first two draft picks as they shouldn't be picking that high again anytime soon.

Guys need to pitch... in the situation they’re on the roster for. Why are you wasting your best relievers, the guys who pitch in high leverage situations, in a blowout? As soon as Rodon came out of the game, Renteria should’ve went to Baneulos to finish the game or Ruiz like I said because he’s going to be sent back down when Anderson is recativated. Yeah, guys need to pitch but I use my high leverage guys only when I need to/when I have to.

And now Nate Jones is coming out to pitch? Why not use Ruiz, you’re sending him back down when Anderson is reactivated before the home opener.

Why was Herrera out to pitch, in a low leverage situation? Why not pitech Ruiz?

Good inning for the offense but they would’ve scored more runs if not for that base running fluke. All I wanted to see this year in terms of the on field product was better fundamentals, better defense and better bullpen management. So far, not a good start.
