  1. I wonder what the Sox run differential is in the first inning.
  2. Wouldn’t be shocked if Tim had his share of 25/25 seasons but Renteria has to let him and Moncada run more.
  3. And did Tim Anderson die? Isnt he a super raw and toolsy player, that plays a up the middle position, that the Sox drafted and developed successfully?
  4. Stop saying that, this is a new scouting and player development staff for the Sox. Getz and Hostetlet haven’t drafted and developed this type of player before and just because something doesn’t work out, it doesn’t mean you should stop. I mean Adam Dunn didn’t work out, should the Sox stop signing LH power bats? If the Sox want to be a consistent winner, they need to be able these type of players as they have the highest ceilings. You also don’t want a system devoid of athleticism.
  5. We should keep track of how many runs Renteria cost the Sox/give to the opposing team.
  6. Why let your struggling pitcher go through the order for the third time?
  7. Lopez’s stuff looks good, velocity is there but he has had zero control so far this season.
  8. Yeah, it is severely top heavy. After you get by Madrigal and Robert, you're going to find a lot of bullpen guys and utility types. They really need to hit on their first two draft picks as they shouldn't be picking that high again anytime soon.
  9. Guys need to pitch... in the situation they’re on the roster for. Why are you wasting your best relievers, the guys who pitch in high leverage situations, in a blowout? As soon as Rodon came out of the game, Renteria should’ve went to Baneulos to finish the game or Ruiz like I said because he’s going to be sent back down when Anderson is recativated. Yeah, guys need to pitch but I use my high leverage guys only when I need to/when I have to.
  10. And now Nate Jones is coming out to pitch? Why not use Ruiz, you’re sending him back down when Anderson is reactivated before the home opener.
  11. Why was Herrera out to pitch, in a low leverage situation? Why not pitech Ruiz?
  12. Defense not doing the pitchers any flavors.
  13. THat was a makebale play.
  14. Good inning for the offense but they would’ve scored more runs if not for that base running fluke. All I wanted to see this year in terms of the on field product was better fundamentals, better defense and better bullpen management. So far, not a good start.

Is it time for the bullpen?
  16. Okay he works heavily in player development, not that hes the director of the program. My misread. Good at bat by Yoan
  17. I read that he took over Gabe Kapler's old post
  18. In title no, but he’s probably a future manager in the bigs and runs the Dodgers farm system
  19. I don’t like shuffling Moncada around to get Palka going. I think that’s terribly stupid. Moncada is more important to the team’s future and he looked really good in KC.
  20. Regarding McCann, there were definitely better backup/platoon catchers available. KC got one of the better ones.
  21. The Sox offer was not fair. It was a bad offer, they were trying to win a negotiation, not sign a great player.
  22. Matt Davidson was also a bad baseball player and brought no extra value to the table. He couldn’t play defense and he couldn’t get on base.
  23. I think was a good move for the Sox regardless of what happened with Machado because he gets on base and can play CF. The Sox need guys who can do that.
