I would be ok with Abreu going to SD. They are a team actually trying to win and Pito deserves to go to a functional organization.

I too hope Sosa is given every opportunity to earn the starting job. But with Leury making way too much, and Romy and Yolbert ahead of him, who knows. What I don’t want but fear will happen is Leury being handed the job because of that stupid contract.

I don’t regularly watch the Jazz, but it sure does seem like their coaching staff figured out how to get more out of Lauri. Carter Jr seems to have figured out how to be an effective scorer elsewhere as well. Meanwhile Vuc looks like s%*#. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for the Bulls new FO.

Yeah he did. I’d like a bit more accountability from a supposed star player after a miserable performance, but his comments do seem telling re Donovan. I really wonder if he has lost the locker room.

Donovan has to be on a short leash here. They play such incoherent non-cohesive lackadaisical basketball that something has to give. I don’t think they pull the plug on the roster yet but a new voice is needed.

Yes, there are valid critiques for how and where they have spent. Hahn is really bad at it. Yet legit championship contenders find ways to fill holes despite bad money. The Sox have already signalled that they’ve thrown up their hands and aren’t serious about improving, be it in dollars or in those making decisions. My point remains in that they aren’t serious about putting themselves on the same level.

Let’s be real, the cheap bastards somehow convinced us that they had a viable window when they were never gonna pony up for a legit contender to begin with. If they can’t or won’t spend over some bad money they never wanted to compete in the first place.

The current home jerseys are a classic that I hope never goes away, same with the road greys. But bring back the diamond sock damnit! I do love the black tops but they are used a bit too often. The 1959 hat logo is my absolute favourite followed by the 1917. I’d love if they went with the Field of Dreams unis as the Sunday alts. Just retire the 83s already.

I really liked the 83s when they first brought them back, but it’s time to retire them again IMO. Or at least give us an update with similar branding but way less ugly. Either way it’s time for a new regular alternate.
