  1. They aren’t calling up Locklear, they are giving Vosler a look instead.
  2. Their positional prospects are too far away to help his year. They need hitting help right now. Their starting staff could carry them to the World Series if they could just score runs.
  3. Pressure isn't the word, as there is no accountability is this org. What Getz does or doesn't do this deadline is likely to have to most impact on team success in the near future. He needs to get it right, or he could set the rebuild back by years. But at the end of the day, he'll still be here even if he fucks it up.
  4. If it keeps them from rushing a prospect that isn’t ready yet, I’m good with it.
  5. Have to imagine DeJong is on his way out.
  6. I defer to those who actually pay attention to this stuff, but on the surface it seems very underwhelming.
  7. Chris Getz fucks up his first draft as GM. Oh goddamnit, this came true didn't it? f***.
  8. Surprised to see Detroit so high, considering Kirk Gibson is a really tough listen. Must mean Jason is really good. (He is) And when the call in the booth matches the atrocious product on the field, it should come as no surprise Schrif is ranked dead last. He is really bad.
  9. Amongst the many reasons not to, please keep the kid as far away from this colossal mess as possible.
  10. He must love misery.
  11. If he had any self respect he would resign. But he chugs along helming the worst team in franchise history as if he doesn’t have a hand in his mess.
  12. Makes me like it even more if they gained some savings to sign someone over slot later on.
  13. I have zero faith in the Sox ability to scout and develop hitting, so I’m not upset with the pick of a pitcher. But I 100% agree that acquiring hitting must be a focus in later rounds and at the deadline.
  14. Can’t wait for Getz to f*** up his first draft ?
  15. Unless they intend to use him in the pen for the rest of the year, the M’s aren’t a good fit. They desperately need multiple offensive pieces, and burning trade assets elsewhere doesn’t make sense.
  16. San Diego is a fringe Wild Card team *with* Arraez and a hell of a lot more talent than anywhere in the White Sox org.
  17. Neither of whom would have moved the needle when the rest of the roster is this bad.
  18. I see no reason or need to apologize.
  19. Oh, Getzy is waiting to pounce on that claim. You can never have too many Ex-Royals!
  20. Fewer chances to get hurt and or crater his trade value.
  21. Simply more opportunity. When you're good at drafting, extra picks will go a long way. The White Sox on the other hand, wouldn't get it right if they had 5 first round picks.
  22. Tongue in cheek as I intended that, you're not wrong. Not to mention the question of whether that would be attempting to circumvent draft rules.
  23. Yup. Baltimore hit on so many of their high picks durning their rebuilding years. Meanwhile the White Sox picked Andrew Vaughn and Nick Madrigal in the first round during their "tanking" years.
