  1. I'm walking distance from GRF and I'm freaking ecstatic! I'm not upset in the least that I'll have to hop on the L to go to games again. The positives outweigh everything else IMO.
  2. This is what I and others have been trying to get at. There won't be a lack of parking in the vicinity, just not acres of parking directly at the ballpark like at GRF. I have no doubt that parking needs will be accommodated by pre-existing lots and garages nearby.
  3. Which sounds just as miserable to navigate as Soldier Field is currently.
  4. Big difference between a chairman who doesn't want to pay players because of his antiquated ownership vs labor beliefs, and a chairman that stands to make hundreds of millions of dollars for his heirs in a massive stadium/real estate developement.
  5. The bump in franchise valuation alone just from moving downtown easily covers that. It would be a drop in the bucket.
  6. I don't give a s%*# about the Bears personally, but I'm curious where on the lakefront this would be. I'm all for erasing the ugly spaceship from the Soldier Field colonnades, but a lake front location doesn't seem to solve their supposed issues.
  7. Would a shuttle from one of the remaining GRF lots be feasible for you or more of a pain? Or an Uber from a nearby garage/lot?
  8. Inject this straight into my veins! I’d buy season tix again regardless of the on field success.
  9. Waiting for a certain poster to blow every conceivable gasket at these renderings. Whatever will fans do but be forced to not drive their living room on wheels to a game.
  10. I don’t know if it does now, but it easily could. Water taxis stop at Ping Tom park just south so there’s no reason tour boats couldn’t visit the 78.
  11. For those who don't know, yes, this design would point NE towards downtown and the lake.
  12. I'm not predicting it, but if they failed to win 60 I would not be surprised in the least.
  13. Same. I'll watch plenty of out of town baseball to get my fix once the season starts, but spring games are a nice change in background noise while working.
  14. As much as no one should want to watch this abomination of a team, it's still baseball. Or some semblance there of. Which is still better than no baseball!
  15. Hopefully as more teams release spring schedules we'll see what other viewing options are available.
  16. If Cease is "struggling" to hit 94mph come April, then I'll be concerned. This sounds perfectly normal and there is zero reason for alarm in early February.
  17. Thank You. Yes, TA was horrible last year, there is no argument. But putting him on a greatest failure list is pretty ridiculous. If anything he is one of the Sox greatest success stories of this era. His fall from grace was as ugly as possible, but that should not outshine the peaks of his success.
  18. Moncada, Eloy, Kopech, & Grandal. All of the ills with this org start and stop with JR, but addressing only the failures in uniform, these four reached the highest peaks of disappointment.
  19. If Mena turns into anything special, it's a big loss for Getz. There's certainly reason to have doubts about Mena's FB and the trade could turn out to be a wash, but I do think there is more potential in it biting the Sox in the ass than for AZ.
