The transit options are plentiful, and shuttle service from Ogilvie or the lots at 35th & Shields would make perfect sense. There would be zero reason to drive to Clark & Roosevelt.

LaSalle & Van Buren to Clark & Roosevelt is about half a mile. 10-15 minute walk with plenty of CTA options.

I had to do a double take. I expected it to be an old article from the first time the site was considered. I thought the land was spoken for, but a new modern stadium at Clark & Roosevelt would be game changer for the future health of the whole White Sox organization. JR never seemed to have a problem with Hahn burning gobs of money on the fringes, as long as they were low dollar short term expenditures. 4/$32 is pretty cheap for most orgs, but that's still $8M per for 4 years for an unproven player for an owner that hates long term deals for pitching. All of the guys you mention are completely washed and are total wastes of money IMO. I'm grasping at straws to find the logic too.

Seems to be a lot of negotiating through the press the pass few days. Whether NYY is actually interested in Stroman or not, this feels like their counter to Getz’s comments yesterday. There is probably some truth to all three points, but putting it out there that NY is looking elsewhere definitely feels aimed at Getz to me.

I think everyone would be happy with a disaster, except for how it might impact Cease’s market.

This is where I am too. In a lost season, give it a try. But I have my doubts his body can handle it, let alone whether his pitch arsenal plays multiple times through.
