  1. A month from now he'll be at .290/.350/.510. These fluctuations are completely normal for him and, in my opinion, are not indicative of any slowing down.
  2. Yup- 1 month of bad baseball (with a little bit of bad luck mixed in- his BABIP over his slump is .242) might change the mind of a message board poster, but a GM will value the past 5 years of production over that one month stretch.
  3. Some nice bases loaded ABs from Anderson, Abreu, and Yolmer of course
  4. Trading 6 years of someone who seems like he can be a dominant reliever doesn't seem like the best move for us. If he were older then I'd be down, but he has so much control left. I'd need a massive return
  5. About ready for Jose's cold streak to end... he's pressing
  6. He does look worse from the right side, but I also believe he looks better than the numbers suggest. He's had some great contact from the right side this year that hasn't resulted in hits. I personally am not yet convinced that he'd be any better as a LH vs LHP. I'd want to give him until at least the 2019 ASB as a switch hitter, just to see what he can do with 250-300 PAs as a righty
  7. I strongly agree that 65 ABs is enough of a sample to give up on someone switch hitting
  8. He might as well be a pitcher. I swear I haven't seen an uglier swing
  9. Glad the call didn't come back to bite us. Let's not GIDP, Engel
  10. The pessimist in me sees an Anderson K, Engel weak pop out, Moncada out somehow
  11. Perhaps not, but I can see him at least being competent. I don't know who else in our system would be better suited (not including guys like Robert who are good enough to play other positions, or a meh prospect like Gillaspie)
  12. Sign me up for C- Collins/FA 1B- Jimenez 2B- Moncada/Madrigal SS- Anderson/Madrigal 3B- FA/Burger LF- Rutherford/Madrigal CF- Robert RF- Basabe/Adolfo DH- Adolfo/Jimenez/FA
  13. Luis Robert. 75% sarcasm
  14. I'm confident that Eloy can become that guy once our outfield gets crowded and he's the odd man out (in terms of defense)
  15. Is he their everyday color guy or just a guest for this game?
  16. For all we know it was a bad call. Minor league umps are pretty shaky
  17. Rutherford and Luis Gonzalez need to be playing every day. That Remillard guy doesn't need all this playing time.
  18. The injury obviously doesn't help him out but he was my favorite minor league pitching prospect aside from the obvious Kopech/Cease/Hansen/Dunning. But a huge, 6'7 arm who induces ground balls like crazy and rarely allows home runs is very intriguing to me. I'm sure his HR rate will increase as he advances, but I like his potential. Could see him as a good reliever too
  19. I like Delgado but he's a little high risk-high reward. I suppose so are guys like Curbelo and Sosa, but they're more advanced than Lency at this stage so I wanted to give a "safer" pick a spot. Sure, Weaver isn't exactly a low risk guy, but the dude can flat out run and I believe in his hit tool more than most. Of course this opinion is based on limited youtube scouting and draft reports so take it with a grain of salt
  20. --Tier 1-- 01 Eloy Jimenez 02 Michael Kopech 03 Luis Robert (honestly almost put him at 1, he literally has a Trout ceiling) 04 Dylan Cease 05 Nick Madrigal 06 Dane Dunning 07 Zack Collins 08 Alec Hansen --Tier 2-- 09 Micker Adolfo (almost put him in tier 1) 10 Luis Alexander Basabe 11 Blake Rutherford 12 Jake Burger 13 Luis Gonzalez 14 Seby Zavala 15 Steele Walker --Tier 3-- 16 Ian Hamilton 17 Tyler Johnson 18 Jordan Stephens 19 Kade McClure 20 Luis Curbelo 21 Lincoln Henzman 22 Lenyn Sosa 23 Gavin Sheets --Tier 4-- 24 Konnor Pilkington 25 Laz Rivera 26 Spencer Adams 27 Craig Dedelow 28 Jonathan Stiever 29 Ryan Burr 30 Cabera Weaver
  21. I personally would rather see Jirschele as eventual manager, instead of Vizquel
