  1. I'm embarrassed to admit that I remember liking the move when we acquired him.
  2. This is sarcasm, I hope? Because he's 0-3 in one game he can't be predicted to be in the majors?
  3. 0-3 with 3 strikeouts #jinxed
  4. Who are you referring to? I totally agree that Kopech and Jimenez won't be that good that soon. But those who assumed instant stardom (or at least very good production) from Moncada this year were correct, so far. If it's Giolito, I'd argue he isn't in the same tier of prospects as Yoan/Jimenez/Kopech
  5. I think this is all part of White Sox hitters' gigantic plot to have one really good, flukey season to prevent Abreu from ever getting chosen for another all-star game!
  6. I'd imagine these letters at least generated a good laugh (if they were read)
  7. If this were 1920 then I'd get why people were constantly posting about attendance. It's increasingly irrelevant nowadays
  8. I totally get where you're coming from and I hope you have fun. From my perspective, Moncada being back is really all I need to be more excited. He was becoming watch TV before the injury.
  9. His ERA was 3.00 before his last start, so it's clearly not indicative of his effectiveness over the scope of this season. I don't think that 2 bad outings changes everything. If he bounces back and is sharp again in his next couple tries, I think he'll get the call.
  10. So best case scenario, you see Kopech in September? I'll be sure to save this post for when he's called up in the next few weeks.
  11. I agree that it'll take time for them to get good once they're actually up. But I maintain that you're being overly pessimistic on when they make it here. My guesses are: Kopech: May-July 2018 Jimenez: July-September 2018 Collins: September 2018-May 2019 Robert: Mid 2019 Cease: Late 2019 Rutherford: Early 2020 That's just for the guys you mentioned, not including those like Hansen and Dunning and so on. Adolfo is anyone's guess because of the possibility of a season ending surgery, but if he were healthy we'd certainly see him at some point next season in the majors.
  12. I mean, you're the one who made the post (unless there's another reiks12 who's a Sox fan on there) You kinda set us up for it...
  13. I see, that makes a lot more sense. Wasn't trying to be snarky, I genuinely thought you meant Carlos
  14. I also think one of the McClure/Puckett/Stephens types will end up being a solid 3/4 starter. It's not always the top guys who end up making it, after all. Gotta factor the wild cards in
  15. I think you're severely miscalculating when players will come up. The majority of our top guys should be in the majors by the end of the 2019 season.
  16. Who's kicking Rodon out of the rotation? When healthy, he's clearly a MLB starter IMO
  17. Actually a really smart lineup against Chatwood.
