Chris Sale scratched from start
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 07:37 PM) So the question is are there stats for Sale pitching in this uncomfortable uniform? We've worn this uniform one time- a variant of it in fact Edit- during Sale's tenure of course

Specific Trade Ideas
I'm just gonna go ahead and make a wish list on the Sox deadline movement: Trade with Red Sox: Boston gets: Chris Sale, David Robertson, Zach Duke Chicago gets: Yoan Moncada, Andrew Benintendi, Blake Swihart, Rafael Devers, Michael Kopech, Eduardo Rodriguez, Travis Lakins Trade with Dodgers: Los Angeles gets: Jose Quintana Chicago gets: Julio Urias, Jose De Leon, Alex Verdugo, Starling Heredia Trade with Rangers: Texas gets: Jose Abreu, Melky Cabrera, Brett Lawrie, James Shields, cash Chicago gets: Rougned Odor, Luis Ortiz Trade with Astros: Houston gets: Todd Frazier Chicago gets: Kyle Tucker, Gilberto Celestino Obviously not all of this will happen, but it's fun to imagine how stacked our farm can be after selling.

White Sox Listening on Sale
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 10:31 AM) Full value for Sale consists of: 1)Status as top 5 pitcher (Contenders need a really good pitcher, but they don't necessarily need a top 5, so they may not be willing to pay for a top 5). 2)Control for another 3/4 years (3/4 years of control isn't that important now when you're trying to win a WS) 3)Annual contract well below market value (most of the contenders can easily afford a high contract, so they aren't willing to pay full prospect price of a cheaper contract) Another thing to consider is how thin the SP market is right now

Tigers @ Sox. 7/22
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 10:45 PM) Team is just being owned by the big 3 in the division. Just a horrible game tonight, as the two young guys (Anderson and Fulmer) couldn't have played worse. Yeah, not an easy loss but if we're selling, I don't mind

Tigers @ Sox. 7/22
QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 10:47 PM) It was looking close at that point, and if they would lost, the mojo of the series could have been different. fair enough

Tigers @ Sox. 7/22
QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 10:42 PM) I'd Duke didn't pitch out of bases loaded nobody out in Boston, I wonder if Robin would have made it past that series. ... but didn't we win 3 out of 4 that series? Not like we were avoiding a sweep with the Duke game

White Sox Listening on Sale
One name I rarely see mentioned is Gleyber Torres. The guy is blocked by Russell, and while he's a few years away, I'm sure they wouldn't mind including him in a Sale package

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 10:24 PM) Narvaez has a really nice game. Few good at bats and did a good job blocking a lot of pitches. Can't believe we saw Navarro used as a PH. I think Ventura is trying to get fired. Lefty/lefty

White Sox Listening on Sale
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 10:22 PM) Lmao at Baez and Soler. Any Sale deal with the Cubs starts with Bryant or Russell. Eh, I'd say Bryant. Russell is one of the most overrated players in baseball IMO, and he hasn't done anything to convince me that he'll live up to his potential

Trading Q vs trading Sale
The bad thing about trading just one of our aces for MLB ready bats is that, great, offense should be better, but now you have a horrible rotation

White sox may be reconsidering their stance of being non sellers
I honestly am more familiar with the Boston farm system at this point than I am with our own, given that Fulmer/Anderson aren't a part of it anymore

White sox may be reconsidering their stance of being non sellers
QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 11:15 AM) That's a narrative man, if Hahn let KW dictate his moves as a GM he's an even worse GM than I thought. I don't think it was Hahn's choice

White sox may be reconsidering their stance of being non sellers
QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 11:13 AM) This is spot on, sell the whole team but what does it matter when it's the same guy doing the selling who did the buying? Get a new FO completely or retool. To be fair, some of the buying moves had KW written all over them
