Gordon is certainly a fine defender in LF, but has a 92 wRC+ this year and has not had one above 92 since 2015. While he's an obvious upgrade over Engel/Palka types, why not aim higher?

His exit was as mysterious as his tenure. Guess we'll never know if he was responsible for a lot of the adjustments from guys like Sheets, Collins, etc.

Pineiro ended up making 3 field goals (3/3) and missed the lone XP. I think he's the guy. I also think they'll go for 2 more often, not just due to kicker uncertainty but also because Nagy is smart and soon enough people will be going for 2 almost every time

Good call on Snell from a timing standpoint. It would be cool for it to be a fusion of the Snell deal and the Sale/Quintana deals, meaning similar price but a team option or two attached at the end.

No idea on when (due to AAA playoffs as you mentioned), but I'll guess Frare, Ruiz, Vieira, Fulmer, Banuelos, Collins, Cordell, Mercedes (to DH), Zavala. Castillo would be let go so that Collins and Zavala can get reps behind McCann.

Yeah, that's how I justified the defense spend, plus it was towards the end when I had a lot of money left and the next best defense was like 8th or 9th best. I also think that Pagano's aggressiveness is gonna result in more sacks and about the same number of defensive touchdowns, at the expense of more explosive plays allowed. In other words, I think the Bears D will be #1 again for fantasy purposes by a solid margin.

Ended up paying $19 for Montgomery. In a league full of Bears fans I'm surprised I didn't have to go higher. Also got Trubisky for $5 and the Bears D for $6. That was it for my Bears players though, also got Odell, Mike Evans, Mixon, and Aaron Jones. 10 team league. I'm pleased overall

He showed us that last year from like June onward. His defense has taken a step back lately but I'm confident too that he'll get back to that level.

It's possible, but the fact that this was reported months after Harper signed suggests that there was nothing for Boras to gain in terms of leverage. That's why I believe it.

That's exactly what I mean (bold). But I agree with you, Moncada should not be moved again, and they'll probably sign a couple SPs and a DH.
