Last 15 games , Robert is hitting .286 w 21 S.O. and Moncada is hitting .274 w 19 S.O. I would say their struggles are pretty even. I would not say it is poor effort. In their case, both are young players who are going through a bad stretch.

Robert has also been fine considering it is his first moth. Leury is a career( 7 years) .257 hitter batting .271. I think Eloy, Grandal and EE have provided limited offensive support and TA has been hurt.

I think the issue is the offense is struggling so McCann needs to play with the bat he has been showing. That pushes Grandal to DH so Collin's chances may be limited.

Hopefully it gets called rather than starts and then gets cancelled before 5. We cannot waste a Keuchel start with our SP struggles.

A few thoughts. As someone else mentioned, Vizquel's departure from the organization probably eliminates him. I was surprised when I saw Alomar was coaching for Francona while he was out. I would have thought Brad Mills would be doing that. Could be a sign that Sandy will take over that job sooner rather than later. I agree with your thought that "Spanish speaking part is undeniably important". But in looking around at last years playoff teams, I think only Cora and Martinez did. So maybe the staff make-up more than the manager selection is the key component.

Agree, But does RR make all lineup decisions without input from the front office? I would think Hahn must meet daily with manager+ coaches on prior game and player status.

Since Indians are a half game ahead of us, I would re-word to slipped by us. I think we have a good chance to take the weekend series and slip by them. We do catch a break w Francona out for series.

To me contend means in the running for a playoff spot. With the short season playoff format, I think the White Sox will contend for a wildcard and very well may get one. I don't see them as contending for a WS spot because their lack of starting pitching this year will catch up to them. Defense is more than errors but so far the team has done a good job of making careless errors since they only have made 4 total. Once Madrigal settles in, I think they will be at least average compared to rest of teams.

I agree. I would move Abreu to 4th or if they are in love w the righty/lefty Grandal in the 4 and Abreu in the 5.

We got great pitching. They were just a tad better

The bullpen continues to be a real strength. I realize we will see some wear and tear with the struggles of the starting pitching but the front office has certainly assembled a quality group of relievers.

Eloy was not eligible yesterday since he hadn't cleared concussion protocol. I thought Grandal should have hit for Leury in the 9th. Great point on walks

Well the buiipen was outstanding today. So they have to fix the offense and starting pitching.
