Trade Deadline Thread
I know not a huge needle mover, but a guy I think would be a very good fit for the Sox is Brad Miller. LH bat with some pop and can play almost any position. If/when the Phillies sell he shouldn’t be a particularly expensive to trade for either (Not sure if Miller has been mentioned yet or not)

FS: 2021 Draft Prospect Profiles
The K’s are obviously concerning, but Fabian is very enticing. Could be an above average defensive CF with 20/20 potential…or he never improves his hit tool and doesn’t make it to the bigs. Im no scout, but his swing and bat speed both actually look pretty good. Looks like he needs to cut down his leg kick and work on his balance though (I’m also by no means a scout/expert) Tyler Black has a pretty compact LH swing that I can see producing more power as he gets older…swing reminds me a lot of Chase Utley. 2B being his primary position is not ideal, but just really like watching this kid hit.

White Sox @ Tigers - 7/4/21- Game Thread
Extremely predictable Mendick would be overmatched but Soto…to everyone buy our manager Thank you Jose

GT 6/29 Twins @ White Sox
The amount of middle in 90 mph fastballs and hanging sliders this lineup has missed tonight is insane. Should be 5-2 minimum

GT 6/29 Twins @ White Sox
I’m sure it’s easier said than done…but good god I’m not sure there’s ever been a more obvious need for a trade to happen. We need an OF’er and 2B capable of giving us a MLB AB. That shouldn't be asking for too much

GT 6/29 Twins @ White Sox
Come on man…he’s got a sub .700 OPS. He’s a rookie that needs to work on his approach and regain confidence. He’s not the 1st, nor the last, and it’s not the end of the world. But it’s obvious he can’t be an effective major league hitter right now, it’s in everyone’s best interest he takes some time in AAA.

GT 6/29 Twins @ White Sox
I was against it for a while…but Vaughn has to go down. He’s brining little to no value at this point. That pitch should have been 10 rows deep

Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT
I’d be fine with that. Offense is a dire need. Whether it’s Escobar or someone else, we can’t keep putting these lineups out and expect to win more than we lose. Perfectly fine with waiting on an arm or 2 until the deadline

Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT
This season is going to slip away if we continue to think a trade doesn’t have to happen. This offense isn’t able to win games and the starting pitching is due for regression…plus the defense isn’t good.

Top 10 Prospects (Trade Value)
I did say LH hitter + a useful pen arm, so perhaps platoon wasn’t the best word. Or maybe I’m underrating Dalquist. But I do think we have a pretty realistic shot VS anyone in the AL in a 7 game series (if healthy) so I do want to see some aggression by the FO in adding talent. Obviously there needs to be a reasonable middle ground between trading away what little prospects we have and trying to win a WS. David Peralta is a guy I’d try to target to target

Top 10 Prospects (Trade Value)
Have to trade something for something…our prospects are pretty much trash and we obviously need help. If Dalquist is too much for you then I guess you’re just standing pat?

Top 10 Prospects (Trade Value)
I’m hoping a package like Burdi, Dalquist, and 1 of the young IF’s (Ramos/Sanchez/Sosa) can get us something useful to help for a playoff push. Not expecting anything huge in return for a package like that, but a playable LH platoon OF’er and a decent pen arm shouldn’t be that hard to get…or at least I hope. Don’t want to give up the few good prospects we have for a non impact player though

Heyman: Sox interested in someone on some team. Nightengale: *nods*
Sure is, didn’t realize that. I might be desperate enough to settle for Josh Reddick at this point honestly.

Can we just give up a couple of nothing prospects for Asdrubal Cabrera and Cole Calhoun? Sadly both would be welcomed additions to the roster for at least another month +
-
a bit of perspective..
If the team was healthy I’d 100% agree. But are you really looking at these lineups and thinking that under performing is the issue? I think we are sending out bad lineups that are performing about as expected. There’s just no way I can logically think that sending Luery, Mendick, Mercedes, Goodwin/Lamb/Eaton out as regulars for another month + is going to “work itself out”. The question for me is whether or not the pitching staff can continue to carry the team and keep things afloat until reinforcements come…or does a move need to be made sooner rather than later

Madrigal Done for 2021
DBacks- David Peralta and Asdrubal Cabrera fill our needs very nicely and shouldn’t cost a top prospect

Ten relievers who could be traded, ranked
I think people are panicking on Marshall too soon. Despite some early struggles I still like our bullpen a good bit honestly. Pretty much any team ever could use 1 more arm, but it’s not a major priority in my eyes. If 1 of the starters goes down is a bigger concern to me…a long man that can start a few games might be best, if possible. Give me another OF’er and a better utility guy to reinforce the offense. D Backs are a good trade partner target for me- David Peralta and Asdrubal Cabrera would be ideal and probably wouldn’t cost that much.

Madrigal goes on 60 day DL, Hamstring tear: Goodwin recalled
Well in that case…my bad. Not on here enough to pick up sarcasm like that from a particular user

Madrigal goes on 60 day DL, Hamstring tear: Goodwin recalled
Have you also ponder the fact that you might be an idiot? .774 OPS and 118 WRC+ this season and 1.5 WAR in basically 1/2 season worth of a baseball career so far. Yup, you’re definitely an idiot

6/9| White Sox vs Jays | 7:10PM CT | TLR going for #2766
What are we even doing if replay doesn’t overturn that? Absolute joke

I’m no doctor or expert, but didn’t look like there was any reason to assume any kind of tear. Knee didn’t bend or twist in a concerning way that I saw. He’ll probably have a hell of a bruise for sure, but doubt the umps backhand toss was enough to cause a deep bone bruise or anything
