  1. I heard a week ago on MLB network that maybe Arizona takes a swing on Ozuna or he returns back to St. Louis. Castellanos? Yeah wow. Idk. I mean you're right I keep seeing the Rangers showing interest but they have like 1000 of's. They're still waiting to make that big splash. Puig is screwed.
  2. You are correct they are closed for business until January 6th
  3. I'm not sure I would trade for Givens either. Last year he wasn't the greatest out of the bullpen for Baltimore as compared to years past. I don't care about his salary, I just think that there might be better options either in a trade or FA. But I'm a guy who really doesn't like Colome either. I feel his stats aren't a true reflection to how he's pitched. He's had alot of good luck with us. Maybe the Sox feel internally they will have Ty Johnson as an option in a year to replace him.
  4. This is what I believe is happening
  5. One of the big problems with their argument in this article is that they are not even taking into account Robert, Madrigal joining the lineup this year. And Kopech joining the rotation.
  6. I would love him too. But I thought he was seriously thinking about retirement? I know he's pretty old. But would be an absolute perfect fit. Would check off all the boxes for remaining offensive needs.
  7. And I'm not really sure LAA farm system is deep enough to pull off a trade for an impact arm. Trout's extension, Rendon's contract they might have some financial constaints now..
  8. I wouldn't help the Red Sox out. So glad the Price market is dwindling. It also shows that Boston is asking for way to much. So if the twins want to meet their asking price then so be it. And all better for the central and all better for us!
  9. I can never figure out the Blue Jays.
  10. So what kind of contract do we think Edwin will get?
  11. Yeah I like these moves too. Solid bats. Alot of flexibility and depth. And most importantly all of this was attained without sacrificing prospects. (Minus Steele Walker) very successful offseason. Speaking of Walker, how much control do the Whitesox have with Nomar Mazara in RF? One year? 2 years?
  12. Mr. Jenkins you're getting me excited with all that pitching coming up the pipeline. And throw in Cease and Giolito and in 1 or 2 years wow!
  13. I know I just did the same thing but decided to hold offfrom posting until I read it all this time. Lol
  14. Completely agree with this. I really wonder if Boston's goal of shedding salaries is more for a Betts extension rather than moving payroll under the luxury tax.
  15. Very good. Finally the CWS are leading in something - being desperate. Lol before this the only thing we lead baseball on was minority hiring and fan safety (nets from foul pole to foul pole).
  16. I don't think Vaughn comes up in June. He maybe fast tracked. But not that fast. Don't get me wrong would love to see that. But I really like your lineup. And I think it's going to sneak up on the league and fans in general.
  17. Thank you. That is all I was getting at. Orlando's post was funny. Now I might get a little defensive if a Yankees fan posted that or a cubs fan. But it wasn't. It was posted from a Sox fan. And I think Sox fans "get it"
  18. Orlando that's just wrong! Funny though. Very funny. And true.
  19. He has a horse there. Really, a horse
  20. Makes me wonder what it would've taken from our white Sox to land him? With such a light return and our deep system especially compared to the rangers and angels much thinner systems. I get Cleveland probably wanted him out of the division but he fits our timetable. He leaves for FA when our young pitchers are up and ready.
  21. I'm good with this as long as they get off the Vaughn and Madrigal return. I mean I feel neither one should go anywhere. I'm nervous about Dunning or Steaver going too. We're helping them out! They are the ones with the financial issues. Send them Pinkington or a Flores and I would pick up $20 million/yr for the rest of his contract.
  22. Welcome to Soxtalk! I agree with this assessment. Not really thrilled with trading for Price. As someone posted earlier this is Hahn's fault. Now with every aging pitcher with a huge salary on the trading block, clubs expect a Tatis Jr. In return. As if the salary dump isn't enough! The price would have to be right. No pun intended.
