Its the personnel, I dont doubt the coaches have had a positive impact on guys like Cabrera, Abreu and especially Eaton (white Heyward) but they have replaced: Conor Gillaspie Avisail Garcia Carlos Sanchez/Micah Johnson/HOT s*** Tyler Flowers Alexei Ramirez with Todd Frazier Tyler Saladino/Jimmy Rollins Austin Jackson Brett Lawrie Navarro/Avila/now Smith I mean... that's turning over 5 players. And one of those turnovers allowed Eaton to move to his new home in RF where he has been absolutely out of control good defensively.

Sox defense is elite so far. Frazier, Eaton, Lawrie and (believe it or not!) Abreu have all looked like like elite defenders. Eaton and Lawrie particularly. With Saladino in the rest of the defensive unit is pretty damn good as well.

This is partially true. There have been some extremely exciting moments (THAT TRIPLE PLAY) but mostly its ho-hum baseball and the Sox just seem to be the team with the lead after the 9th inning. THAT IS A GOOD THING, I AM NOT COMPLAINING but the Sox are hardly an exciting team that will wow you every other play like Toronto or the Dodgers.

Ventura is not going to start heaping dirt on a veteran player like Dank's grave, but its obvious that Danks is on the outs. I'm wondering why now. Danks was decent against the Angels in his last start and with the amount of money Danks is owed I figured they would give him at least another couple starts before making a move like this. Three possible reasons for this happening now: 1) last year of Danks deal, money is spent either way 2) the team looks good, cant afford to sacrifice games early in the season trying to wrestle some value out of Danks 3) Danks has admitted to coaches he's done and wont be upset if the Sox phase him out

26,000 got a good show, they'll be back. If the Sox come back from this tough road trip with the best record in the AL people will start flocking to the park.

Coming into this game Texas was a top 10, maybe even top 5 (I dont buy top 5 personally) team in baseball. They are no longer. Sox took their first serious opponent and swept them, keep it going into TOR and BALT.
