  1. some of these young guys keep dealing and it's time to deal floyd for a bat.
  2. Slick job by Paulie. Made certain the ball was in safe hands as he walked away from dogpile. Same thing he did in Houston in 2005. That's why he's The Captain.
  3. he'll make his next start at the Cell against Boston. Should give the Sox an attendance jolt. Hope so. congrats to Phil Humber. He's been no worse than our second-best pitcher since the beginning of last year. People keep waiting for him to fade away, but he just keeps grinding.
  4. Fox so annoying. Please save us from the tyranny of more Red Sox-Yankees. Repulsive.
  5. How bad do the Red Sox have to get before MLB stops cramming Sawx-Yanks down our throats?
  6. so much more fun to watch with a few runs. Just want to see Morel and Beckham get some confidence. maybe going on the road -- and facing a mediocre pitcher -- was just the thing.
  7. check outside -- pigs are flying
  8. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 02:57 AM) You owe us 4 rib's. Dear Brent: Some help to get you relocated in Charlotte http://www.foxcharlotte.com/about/closedcaption
  9. But he had such a great September!
  10. Gordo ties Rios in RBIs -- both rocketing toward a 16 RBI season. YES!
  11. paging Dallas McPherson. Please report for the 6 a.m. flight to Chicago.
  12. is there anybody who can play third base or second base? please.
  13. Solid outing by Castro at Birmingham. last time I checked only 5 hits and 1 run in 6 2/3 with a walk and seven Ks.
  14. Check the scorer's table near the Bulls' bench for the Heat game tonight. Gordon Beckham, blonde, blonde, Brent Lillibridge Nice to know the owner.
  15. make it 5 for 5 for Walker, four singles, a double and 5 RBIS Also stole two bases. Other than an error, nothing to knock
  16. another solid game by axelrod -- 6 innings, four hits, one walk, 5 ks, one run. might not be more than a middle reliever, but he throws strikes.
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 12, 2012 -> 06:23 PM) He's pretty much a non prospect organization filler. I think it is a dig and its a lot funnier than anything out of Ozzie's mouth in a while. me, too. brilliantly understated. beyond the range of Oney's Tweets
  18. Castro disaster: five hits, six runs, four earned and four walks in two innings. Axelrod pitching very well for Charlotte. Castro and Molina both need a bit of work.
  19. amen. take that, Number 13.
  20. 14 Ks in 24 at bats for Walker. at least one K in every game -- and three games of three Ks. Ouch.
  21. maybe there is hope for Phegley. Jhan had nine swing and miss strikes. Walker has a long, long, long way to go.
  22. i'll take the under without another thought.
  23. Also loved that Sox team. It helped save the franchise. Attendance had plummeted after the 0-10 start to 1968 and finishing behind the expansion Royals in 1969. Dick Allen was so unlike any Sox player of the 1960s that it was hard to believe. Pretty certain he made the cover of Sports Illustrated with a cigarette in his mouth from the Sox dugout. Plus, it was fun to cheer for Carlos May, who made a remarkable comeback without more than half of his thumb. Good memories.
