  1. always appreciate Juan for the two final plays in Houston last season. But ... he does cruise control it at SS too often. Hope Ozzie sends a similar message to a few others, starting with Pods. It's time to kick it in gear and put a big winning streak together.
  2. buehrle needs to stand and deliver tonight. they got him a new catcher. he's getting the Royals They say he's not tipping pitches. he says he is not injured. What excuse is left?
  3. Anderson has a plus arm, but I haven't seen him throw out too many runners. guys seem to run on him. Dye has made a number of good catches, but dropped a few, too. His arm is solid, but I wonder how many assists he has. Pods is unwatchable. he just seems indifferent to defense. sad, but true. the way Sweeney is hitting lately -- up to .300 and showing more power -- he might be in lf next year
  4. not going to beach about any win they all count the same. we gotta make hay the next four games. vaz needs to give us at least six riske will get a call tomorrow. and maybe BMac MacDougal, considering his history of arm problems, should get a day off but I ain't the manager. unfortunately
  5. gload pods Robbie mac gooch cotts Mac Thornton jenks. nice to have a white sox winner thread.

  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 01:17 AM) I'm to the point where I don't care if we get a guy or two suspended, but if any dirty play happens to us, the player involved needs to just throw down to try and create a spark, suspensions be dammed. Teams used to try and do this stuff in the olden days and while teams shy away from it now due to suspensions, If I were Ozzie I wouldn't care about that. Any type of thing to wake this team up and get them to forget about the losing baseball and go back to just playing baseball would be a blessing. that or a dustup in the clubhouse. Somebody needs to blow a fuse and get this team moving.
  12. hr derby jinx for Jermaine believe it.
  13. disrespecting jermaine leaving tired lefty in. and the tired lefty wins. sad.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 01:00 AM) The thing people forget is that his velocity decreased pretty drastically from his first year with the Sox to last season. People act like he was throwing 95 mph constantly for the Sox last year. He was more in the 91-92 range. When we first traded for him, he was absolutely electric in his first start at Minnesota. It's pretty sad how far his stuff has fallen. His K rates are extremely evident of this. you are exactly right
  15. i guess paulie has some swelling on his left leg after fouling off a ball in the third
  16. when was the last time we put the hammer down on some team when we had the chance?" especially against a good pitcher.
  17. and a rookie shall lead them
  18. move BA to leadoff or cleanup or fifth make him the fifth starter too. I take back my bad thoughts on him.
  19. we're killing the ball. and killing me.
  20. QUOTE(joemg311 @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 09:23 PM) ok the magazine has been burned, and we decided to eat some of the ashes for the hell of it. to quote my brother "grab a nice and cooked piece so you dont eat any poisens" GO WHITESOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you win.
  21. my black Sox Pride wristband broke right after the all-star game. Put on a substitute. Obviously it ain't working. I take the blame. Wore that thing ALL of last season and for the first half of this season. I have figured out our problem. I'm tying the old one back together on my wrist tonight.
