How bout Jeff Weaver
Boras guy. terrible in the AL. disliked by teammates. refused to sign with Sox after they drafted him. involved in the brawl as a Tiger during the 2000 season. HE GAWN from our radar. He's got a good arm so we know Boras would want too much money for too many years. And some dumbass team will be willing to pay.

McCarthy Traded to Texas
First the important stuff == merry christmas to all. Second, KW has always had a hard on for Danks. I believe we drafted his brother, tried to sign him and lost him to Texas. Third, we know Buehrle is gone if not before the season, then during the season. Danks is left-handed. BMac is not. And, finally, Masset could help in the pen. The question I keep asking is: Danks is a former first rounder, left handed and the top rated pick in the Texas system. Why would the Rangers give up on him.?

Sox need RH bench bat for LF, DH/1B
Have you all forgotten that Pablo can play first with the best of them? Shame.
-
Sox sign Toby Hall
best backup catcher we've had in a long, long time. good move, KW.
-
Ross Gload Traded For Andrew Sisco
Gload wasn't ever going to get more than 150 ABs with us. Sisco can help, if coop tinkers with arm slot and improves control. we still need a better leadoff hitter.

My Speculation: Trade with Yankees?
And then our starting is Contreras, Buehrle. Vaz BMac. And Hughes? Or Haeger? dunno how that would work. Counting on two rookies

Reinsdorf speaks
somehow I keep thinking that it's OK to wear a Cardinals cap if your ERA is under 4 and you win 18-20 games. But if your ERA is nearly 5 and you win about 12 or 13 games, you might want to ditch the Cardinals hat. Especially if it's about the 37th time you've been seen wearing it.

2nd Guessing the Vazquez Trade
hated the deal when it went down. hated it last season. hate it today. And I'll hate it tomorrow. Vaz wasn't that much better than Duque. we weakened the pen by giving away Vizcaino's rubber arm. And we just walked away from our best prospect. We paid wayyyyyyyyy too much -- which remains Kenny Williams' number one weakness as a general manager. If he wants somebody he'll give the other team too much in return.

Carlos Lee
that's what ESPN is reporting. If he's getting better than $16 million a year, we better keep checking the waiver wire because the prices are outta sight and outta mind. Mercy!
-
What would it take to get Figgins?
best advice is upgrade the farm system. when you look at the prices and contracts some of these guys are getting, we better start growing more homegrown guys. The contract Gary Matthews jr. got might be the most ridiculous thing I've seen since the White Sox gave Navarro $20 million.

Ryan Freel Anyone.......
Freel is a huge crowd favorite in Cincy -- and cheap for a cheap small market team. They've got no reason to trade him.

MVP
all i know is I never felt safe when Morneau came to bat against us last season.

Baseball America's Top Ten Sox Prospects
bottom line is our first round picks who should now be in the bigs -- Borchard, Ring, Anderson -- have been underwhelming. and our last two drafts have been particularly bad. our system is going the wrong direction.
-
Baseball America's Top Ten Sox Prospects
worst sox top 10 I can remember two 2006 draftees, a sure sign of trouble in the soft system. We need to improve our scouting. It's fallen badly in last four or five years.
-
Cotts to the Cubs
With Jamie Walker going to the Orioles, who will be our other lefty in the pen? We're putting a lot of faith in Thornton, who is hardly a lock to pitch even as well as he did last year. Not saying Cotts was untouchable. Am saying we need another lefty in the pen not named Boone Logan.
-
Brian Anderson to the Marlins?
won't bother me if BA is dealt. will bother me if they get only scraps for him. We can't keep wasting Number One draft picks. And if he was so flipping bad (which he was in the first half) why didn't they do something about this last season and send him back to AAA to fix his stroke and confidence.

USA TODAY BASEBALL WEEKLY TRADE SUGGESTION
Note to ARod Fan Club: Please note which AL third baseman won the silver bat. It wasn't number 13 in pin stripesl. it was number 24 in Chicago. Keep Joe.

USA TODAY BASEBALL WEEKLY TRADE SUGGESTION
QUOTE(Craig Grebeck @ Nov 9, 2006 -> 04:08 AM) Not true. Look it up. OK. I'll revise my statement. CONSIDERING THEIR COMPARATIVE SALARIES, ARod isn't that much better than Crede. In fact, defensively, I'd take Crede.
-
USA TODAY BASEBALL WEEKLY TRADE SUGGESTION
current issue lists five suggested trades. First on the list is Freddy, Crede and Broadway for ARod. Suggests the guy the Yankees really want is BMac, but the sox think he can be a top of the rotation starter. A Rod wasn't that much better than Crede last season. No way he's worth two pitchers, plus Joe. here is the link: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/bbw/2006-11...ed-trades_x.htm

More bad vibes regarding Brian Anderson
looking like another wasted number one pick. we do that too much. if they're going to trade him, my worry is his value has dropped so much he's little more than a throw in. They better find somebody else because we know robby mack ain't the answer. but I fear they're going to stick Sweeney in center. don't believe he's ready for that.

Cora becomes bench coach
Razor Shines as the third base coach has officially been posted on the sox web site. Cora to the bench. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...sp&c_id=cws

Sox don't want to resign Riske
david Riske's best contribution to the White Sox was the HR he gave up to Joe Crede in Sept. 2005.
-
What would White sox Fans Say
Actually, if Ozzie was on his game, pods wouldn't have gotten to the ball because he would have been on the bench. Robby Mack would have been out there.
-
What would White sox Fans Say
BA too laid back and pretty to fall.

What would White sox Fans Say
I think Monroe's play was worse than Granderson. Slow jump. Slow to really go after it. Bad route. bad result. Sorta Pods like
