  1. Romy is their back up outfielder.
  2. I like Clark and Jenkins, so I think Cincy is picking in the third tier of the draft. Sucks to be them, I suppose. But they got Cam Collier in the teens last draft, so hard to say how things will play out.
  3. Ugh. Here we go again. Hopefully, they just wanna give Romy at bats.
  4. Avila just didn't show enough to justify the roster spot. With so many guys out of options, he Sox need to have guys like Santos, Lambert, Banks, German, etc. that they can cycle through during periods of heavy use/injury. Avila would be another guy who essentially is without options.
  5. Burgcata sounds like the sequel to Gymkata that takes place at a Wendy's.
  6. Really liked the back field article by Jim Callis. https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/news/chicago-white-sox-spring-training-prospect-report Sounds like Loidel Chapelli is going to W-S and that Mena is the star of camp.
  7. Mieses hit that ball hard. Tough hill to climb for him if he is primarily 1b though.
  8. Another beautiful DP by Anderson and Andrus.
  9. Anderson, Yoyo, Robert, Eloy looks like a good top 4. Let Benny hit 5th.
  10. Grifol seems committed to it. It will be interesting to see what happens when Moncada gets back into camp. When Moncada is going good, he hits #2 like he did for Cuba. But if Benny hits #3, then Moncada is probably gonna hit #5.
  11. The “missed by a lot” section of the Future Sox top 30 prospects is getting a long look today.
  12. On BA's podcast last week, they thought Crews > Langford, Skenes > Dollander, but that those were the clear top 4 and that Langford's stock wouldn't be hurt that much.
  13. It’s funny. Haseley, Burger, and Sheets all come from the 2017 draft. Haseley was the highest picked of the three, and he’s having the best spring. But Sox fans seem to prefer Sheets and Burger. Is it just bias? Burger hasn’t had half the spring Haseley has had, but he hits a couple of homers and a bunch of people want to make him the starting 3b. Idk. They are all probably just AAAA depth guys, but I want to see if Haseley has possibly turned a corner.
  14. Off the top of my head, if you DFA Alexy, Padilla, return Avila to the Giants, and put Hendricks on the 60 day, you can add Colas, and 3 from the group of Alberto, Hamilton, Haseley, and Marisnick. Should be plenty of room without losing anyone who looks close to helping you.
  15. Interesting question: Was he always bound to struggle or did the bout with COVID affect him? Cuz he was never the same after he got sick. I guess we'll see this year.
  16. Another inning for Stivors. Sox fast-tracking him?
  17. AB for Layant Tapia, interesting. Wonder if he's ss at Kanny and Burrowes is in the ACL.
  18. Wes Kath is playing third. Wow. Hope he gets an AB.
  19. Wrong thread.
  20. In the old days of 10 pitchers/15 position players, Hamilton makes some sense as a pinch runner/defensive replacement. However, whoever takes that spot is going to start twice a week. Do you really want Hamilton getting 10+ ABs a week? I do not. But that's what makes the game interesting.
  21. The thing is, Hamilton looks like he’s been lucky to hit .095. From the eye test, he just doesn’t look like he can survive at the plate. At a certain point, even those these games are meaningless, you have to scout your own players. Marisnick and Hamilton have looked horrible.
