Good lord. I knew it had to be something like this. This means the Sox continue to listen to Tosar even though they have built a historically bad offense. This might mean they are not going to clean house in the hitting side this winter. That thought terrifies me.

Would love to know how much $$$ the Sox saved in total from this. It’s the only factor that makes any sense at all. Vargas is a R/R DH. To ever amass 4.6 WAR, he’ll have to be Frank Thomas/Dick Allen.
