Kopech? Deivi Garcia? Banks? They have a lot of options.

I’m not sure there’s that much of a roster crunch. Matt Foster, Shane Drohan, Jimmy Lambert, Jesse Scholtens, and Davis Martin are all headed to the 60 day. If Toussaint doesn’t make the team (it would be a sign of progress if he does not), he will be released. Sammy Peralta would not be a great loss. That is 6 guys right there. I can imagine them trying to sneak a few guys through like DeLoach. I believe they will be fine.

Seems like Caglianone, Bazzana, and Condon are all going to be gone when the Sox pick. That’s fine. They’ll still get a good player at 1-5.

2024 MiLB Catch All
Sad to see dreams die for people. I saw Sommers pitch at Kanny. Baseball is one tough business.

Is DeJong key to season
DeJong is making like double the minimum. If he’s a 1 WAR player, that’s probably a win. Dallas, on the other hand, got paid.

Any chance Sox muscle Slade Caldwell down to 42? He’s an undersized lefty hitter from Arkansas. Seems like their flavor these days.

Cease To Padres per Passan
With Cease gone what Sox pitcher has the best mustache? I know they are both starting the year in the minors, but it is clearly Drew Thorpe vs. Ky Bush. Battle to the death. There can be only one.

For sure on the deck chairs, but Grossman kinda is a butcher out there.

Everyone realizes that Grossman is not a good defensive outfielder, right? Pillar had that at least.

Wow. Did not see the Pillar release coming. He was FASTs approaching TWTW.

3/22 - Sox vs. Angels (MLB.TV) and A's (mercifully unwatchable)
Game over. 2-0. 13 K on offense. These are not mlb players by and large. Position player depth is really going to be an issue.

Banks had a dominant 2 inning stint.

White Sox sign Robbie Grossman to minors deal w/ invite to ML camp
Career .725 OPS, so not horrible, but also not anything to celebrate. I don’t really get it, but they have committed to dumpster diving for nearly washed up marginal players, so it is on brand.

Angels squeeze one home. They’re playing FASTs.

If you think the Sox regular line up cannot score, you do not want to see what they’re running out in this B game. They have some pitching depth. Position players? Not so much.

Sosa hits more gappers that almost get over the fielders head than anyone I have ever watched.

Cannon looks okay. He needs a little more swing and miss in his game, but he might make starts for the Sox sometime this year.

DeLoach just dropped a double.

HR Fletcher 5-0 now.

Naturally the Sox score 3 in the game you can’t watch. Angels game is a AAA line up with Cannon pitching.

I think Sox are gonna take whoever is left between Montgomery, Burns, and Smith. Kinda hoping it’s Smith.

You get a sense that he is the top HS player in their eyes, but they are down on the HS crop generally. He is near the top of tier 2 for them.
