  1. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 24, 2016 -> 07:42 PM) Avila's only offense is the BB, cant believe they aren't just pumping him balls in the zone. I would. Dude's plan is to up there and not swing lol
  2. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 24, 2016 -> 07:00 PM) Can't compare Saladino and Rollins numbers offensively for the year, Saladino has had a small sample size and has produced a lot better ABs. I don't know why you love Rollins and his awesome .230 average and .179 AVG, .228 OBP, and .483 OPS against RHP. Sure looks like a guy who should be starting against RHP right now. Look at the stats please. And don't give me the bulls*** that Saladino's numbers weren't good last year as a ROOKIE. Oh and just for comparison: Tyler's Stats against RHP last year: .230 avg, .259 OBP, .585 OPS Saladino isn't the answer at SS but he is the best option currently against RHP. Let's go with a strange platoon of Saladino against righties and Rollins against lefties.
  3. QUOTE (Deadpool @ May 24, 2016 -> 06:25 PM) Probably 20, but again, who knows. He could win 17 and it wouldn't be his fault. Pitching wins are meaningless. Exactly. He could end up with 17 wins but maybe we still win some of his other starts regardless if he gets the win or not.
  4. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ May 24, 2016 -> 02:32 PM) Yes, but the Sox don't have a lesser player in their system who is good enough to make a deal for Beltran worth it to the Yankees. The Yankees are a competitive team and aren't hurting for money, so what incentive do they have to trade him? Realistically, the Sox are going to have to make deals for players with big contracts on bad teams that are looking to move salary off the books. That would include guys like Bruce, Markakis, Shields, Ervin Santana, etc. Ethier depending on when he comes back (I post this without knowing how the Dodgers outfield is doing).
  5. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 24, 2016 -> 01:59 PM) I don't particularly like Leury, but he makes sense as a bench option right now. I agree. He at least gives you speed and position flexibility.
  6. QUOTE (Dunt @ May 24, 2016 -> 02:16 PM) If they are going to bring up an OFer, bring up Coats. See what some of these other guys have at this point. Sands, Shuck, Sanchez, Garcia, etc. are known quantities. If they call him up, I'd want him starting.
  7. I know it is thin, but is it really a problem? It features guys who most argue to be in the lineup a lot of the time (Saladino over Rollins, Sands over Garcia, people wanted Sanchez in the lineup when he was here).
  8. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 24, 2016 -> 12:54 PM) Moves are done. Kahnle stayed, Johnson and Sanchez went down. 26 to 25. Oh yeah forgot Kahnle.
  9. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ May 24, 2016 -> 11:59 AM) Some on twitter are speculating this means either Ishikawa is released, or maybe someone like Hayes/Davidson is promoted I'm going with Ishikawa being released (although they haven't made a corresponding move for Johnson being optioned yet). I expect Shuck or Garcia or maybe another reliever to be called up.
  10. He may be going to the Mets with the Duda injury.
  11. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ May 24, 2016 -> 11:41 AM) Delmonico to AAA per his twitter About time.
  12. That's pretty bad. f*** ESPN.
  13. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ May 23, 2016 -> 11:56 PM) Oh yes he can. Not sure if this is right but by my count in ten starts by someone other than Sale,Q,Latos or Rodon that pitcher still has yet to win a game. (Danks, Johnson, Gonzalas) Also 18 runs scored in the last seven games with seven of them coming in a single game! Mark We've won 2 of Gonzalez's starts which is all that counts. But I get your point. Those are probably the only 2 we have won that those 3 haven't started.
  14. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ May 23, 2016 -> 08:49 PM) I did not think there were rules about sending a guy back down, only if you wanted to call him back up after sending him down? This is correct. We can send Johnson down but can't call Sanchez back up for ten days unless there is an injury.
  15. QUOTE (ron883 @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:12 PM) 2 hr for Delmonico. He is absolutely destroying AA. He is only 23 too. Do we have a legit hitter in the making? Send him to Triple A. f*** Ishikawa.
  16. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:54 PM) Until it drizzles or the wind blows too hard Lol I was at a Buffalo Wild Wings one time watching some games and it rained and none of the TV'S were able to play any games due to them having direct tv.
  17. Cubs are also playing on CSN (ok it's CSN+ but still) but their game doesn't seem to have any issues.
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:38 PM) Please no deer-in-headlights Erik Johnson Dude my dad used to say that same thing about Gavin Floyd lol
  19. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:35 PM) Anyone else having issues with Comcast Sports Net? I live in the city (with Comcast cable) and the channel just isn't working right now. Really frustrating. Agree. Was looking forward to watch the second half to the first game and the whole second game (time permitted) after work.
  20. What the f*** comcast. Get your s*** together.
  21. Anyone else having issues with CSN?
  22. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 23, 2016 -> 05:07 PM) Hopefully Latos can go 6 or 7 innings today. That's asking for a lot with him.
  23. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 23, 2016 -> 11:55 AM) A guy I would be very interested in is Chris Archer. I wonder if there's something the Sox see in him they could "fix". Archer is probably the closest thing to an 'ace', and it would require some luck and some work to him to rediscover that ability, that the Sox could get w/o sacrificing Anderson. Might not even have to give up Fulmer or Adams even. There's been some dip in velocity but nothing catastrophic and he still racks up the strikeouts, his struggles have been due to walks, HR and just giving up hard contact in general. The Sox have shown an adeptness to fixing that fault, hard hit balls, in pitchers. Odorizzi wouldn't be bad either. I think the Rays are one of the few rosters to have a lot of interesting names, but also probably wont stay in the race much longer. Doubt we could get Archer. I'm sure they'd rather try to fix him themselves than sell low.
  24. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:36 AM) I thought it was impossible for Rodon to fall to 3, and that happened. MLB draft is weird. I wouldn't really call #3 overall "falling."
