Cease To Padres per Passan
I’m certainly not complaining about a Braves return. Can’t have too many arms. Especially with this team.

Cease To Padres per Passan
What?

Cease To Padres per Passan
Pitching is still a long term need (until proven otherwise). Edit: also might be better than what other teams are offering? Hmmm…

Tigers Signing Flaherty
Makes sense based on literally every move thus far.
-
Glasnow traded to Dodgers
Worth noting he’s due back like mid-season (I’m pretty sure).

Tigers Signing Flaherty
It should be but shows how significantly they are slashing payroll. Roster looks worse than anything we could have penciled in.

Cease To Padres per Passan
Aggressive GM, great offer (even if pitching heavy). What am I missing?

Tigers Signing Flaherty
Makes sense they signed Fedde at 2 years the cost about.

Glass-now amiright?

Cease To Padres per Passan
Agreed. They need to be traded separately honestly.

Ohtani Watch: Dodgers sign - 700M over 10yrs
Yeah, I was wondering how this worked. With it being a 10-year deal with 10 years of deferrals, is it maybe evenly matched? Like if he opts out after 5 years, does he only get 5 years of deferrals? But yeah I think you're right that the Dodgers would be on the hook for those.

New York Mets sign Trayce Thompson to a minor league deal
Look at it as more of a sending the Dodgers money to help even out Lynn Kelly deal. It is amazing he never got a shot when Colas was sent down and after Shields was terrible again and Frazier.

Ohtani Watch: Dodgers sign - 700M over 10yrs
Huh? Firing the GM doesn’t trigger an opt out. It gives him the option to lol if he declines like your hypothetical, why would he opt out.

Ohtani Watch: Dodgers sign - 700M over 10yrs
Well if that happened, then Ohtani wouldn’t want to opt out.

Glasnow traded to Dodgers
That would give them 2 top 100 guys and an MLB ready starter with 6 years of control. I kinda doubt that happens. But would be awesome.
-
Glasnow traded to Dodgers
FWIW, no one actually reported that the deal was imminent, just that it was being discussed.
-
Glasnow traded to Dodgers
To be fair, Grissom himself just graduated off the top 100 prospect list (still has 6 years of control) and younger than about half the Dodgers prospects discussed on this board. He's being treated like he's just declined and fell off the T100 list or something. I think you're putting too much emphasis on a label. Any of these prospects being talked about that debuted last year that would start the season at the MLB level in 2024 on the Sox would also have 6 years.

Glasnow traded to Dodgers
Can easily shift Lopez to a bench role.

Ohtani Watch: Dodgers sign - 700M over 10yrs
And Will Smith too. From what I can tell, no one was slapped.

Glasnow traded to Dodgers
Only if he hits left-handed.
-
Glasnow traded to Dodgers
I don't understand this. Unless you mean trading for a Boras client.

Glasnow traded to Dodgers
Personally, I'm not a believer in every single Tweet being purposeful, ha.

Glasnow traded to Dodgers
And a hypothetical 1-year signing of Kershaw. Also Glasnow. Also, this brings up a great question on if Ohtani will be in a 6-man rotation in 2025 like he has been his whole MLB career to this point.

Glasnow traded to Dodgers
I'd say maybe even extend it to 5 pieces. But who knows, AA could end up being more aggressive than the Reds and O's GMs.

Glasnow traded to Dodgers
Dodgers rotation (assuming Pepiot is traded for Glasnow): 1. Buehler 2. Glasnow 3. Miller 4. Yarbrough 5. Sheehan Kershaw will probably re-sign. I feel like Yarbrough is better as a long-man/6th starter type. Sheehan or Miller could hypothetically be a part of a Cease deal. I agree though, it depends on if they get Yamamoto.
