  1. He wasn't really a starter. I think he was just a platoon for the Dodgers, as they do that with a lot of spots in their lineups (moving guys around, playing guys against specific handedness, etc). I tend to agree though, he seems pointless unless he was a left-handed hitter who hit better against righties. But he does provide more versatility over Sheets/Burger.
  2. I feel like in order to "retire" with the team, they should be required to be in one play.
  3. It would be boring if it was an exact copy/paste of the game. I actually don't understand why people want that when a new videogame show or movie comes out.
  4. He played for the Cubs so the tiniest.
  5. I’d rather have Burger in a bench spot over Sheets. But if I had to guess now, both get optioned and Alberto makes it.
  6. He's referring to backup. TA will inevitably land on the IL.
  7. Is there any interesting SP option we can also trade for with him?
  8. "Keep my favorite team's players' names out of ya fuckin mouth!"
  9. Yes. And I love that they are changing up some of the story (keeps you guessing if you have played the games) without going too outside of it. The last episode advanced the story just as much as the story told in the game. Obviously, they have to be told somewhat differently as they are two different forms of entertainment.
  10. Maybe he would be a change of scenery type. As said in other posts, they should be collecting arms. Especially ones they can option.
  11. Justus Sheffield just went unclaimed last week and he has an option remaining.
  12. Yeah, a couple guys on MiLB deals and claim a couple guys on waivers that are optionable.
  13. I hope this guy never throws a pitch for the Sox. And honestly, I don't care if guys "do worse things in other sports" and get a chance to play again. I don't want them to get that chance either.
  14. Well Phil Rogers just needs something to write about it seems. He’s also not good at his job. Having said, 0% of Crochet being a starting option this year.
  15. I don’t think many (if any at all) think López is an option for the rotation.
  16. I wouldn't be mad about giving him a 2 year deal (under the impression Clevinger does not throw a pitch) but the Sox don't have the budget space to sign him at that amount (or any amount really). Having more certainty for '24 wouldn't be bad either.
