Just looking at Spotrac, it is absent in the 2023 payroll but the $5M figure is factored in 2022.

Yeah. It’s not really a great hitting position as is. Better off seeing if the off-season was good for him and rolling with Seby/Perez/depth signing. You can cut Grandal if he still looks toast.

At the time it was signed it may not have looked like a bargain. But after seeing what guys are signing for this off-season so far, it certainly looks good.
