Yeah I love the framework too. Keuchel may pitch well in that ballpark. A DH in NL does open up Longoria going to DH (and playing a little 3B and maybe 1B work?) and LaStella at 3B opening 2B though.

If you were to sign Castellanos for say 4 or 5 years, that’s the same amount of time you would have Vaughn (5 more years of control, assuming he doesn’t get sent down for a period of time due to struggles) and you can make him available. Not saying I want to go this route, but if you wanted to deal for another starter or someone at 2B.

The difference is in the bats, as someone in those arguments had make clear. I’m someone who doesn’t want any of those 3 (Sheets, Schwarber, Castellanos) in RF however.

True. I don’t have the idea of LaStella and was definitely on the wagon of signing him last year (and then Brad Miller after he signed with SF).

Better have a good backup IF if you want to bank on LaStella though.
