No not really. But now they don't have Machado, I'd rather see Palka mainly DH and maybe give at bats to someone else from the minors or maybe a sign and flip type of player. I mean, I guess that guy could be Alonso. Let's just hope he hits enough to deal.
If some of us want to complain about it in the Machado thread, then cool. If you don't want to read it, don't go in there if you don't want to vent about this dog shit front office anymore.
I'm in the process of looking for a house so when I finally close on one, there is likely to be work done whether it be replacing floors, painting, etc so that will be a nice, rewarding project.
Honestly, it's not a bad idea. This is my plan. I'm not even excited for baseball this year which is fucked up considering it's always been my number one hobby (playing and watching). Oh well, at least I still have a couple summer league teams to play on.
Right. You would think he would say: "we have an offer of $300 mill in hand. Will you match or beat that?" Then Sox decide if he is bluffing, and he takes the money.
They're not and that's not the whole point of signing one of these guys. With the current roster, no they are not. But prospects will come up and the current guys should make some positive strides and then you suddenly have great, cheap options around the rest of the team to go along with a Machado or Harper.
