  1. After last off-season, I'm never getting my hopes up again. Just going to wait for the "Sox agree to sign/sign (insert player name here) to deal" headline. Edit: not until Jerry is gone at least.
  2. I could see Eaton being a biter to be honest.
  3. Addison Reed anyone? He was DFA'd and was pitching on a rehab assignment with the Twins. At this point, our pen needs someone to soak up some innings.
  4. It's regarding the White Sox. They always seem to be involved in bizarre/obscure news or stories. Some cool, baseball related and then some like this. Nothing surprises me anymore.
  5. Well...isn't that obvious?
  6. Either way, in no universe am I dealing Colome now.
  7. Yes there are definitely years when May is the time to make a move. But definitely not a guy who may be the top reliever on the market (also with an additional year of control).
  8. Yep. Companies are quick to make decisions that effects their employees lives (relocating jobs, cutting departments, etc). Happened to me at a company I was with a few years ago, and just happened to my former co-workers at my last job.
  9. How about: DFA Alonso and Castillo, call up Mendick and Collins, start Mendick at 2B, and give Jose Rondon a 1B glove (split time at DH).
  10. He already received a large signing bonus when he came over. There's a good chance he's going to take a chance in free agency instead of taking safe money.
  11. And the difference: one guy is in the middle of the final year of his contract (with a vesting option) and one guy was awful in the first of a 4-year deal. One is 100000x easier to get rid of than the other. Just give it another month at the most.
  12. This is what I'm thinking too. I feel like they should be switched.

Cut him...literally just cut him. It's the only way.
  14. Yeah I agree. I wouldn't mind either getting a spot start or two.

I'd take him over Alonso too. Especially if there was a chance he would play 1B more over Abreu.
  16. Two questions because I'm unsure: who is better defensively, Tilson or Garcia? And which has the better arm?

It's all about if he looks completely lost and unbalanced at the plate. Dude had some horrific swings at the beginning of the year and he always looked like he was falling.
  18. When the time comes, we'll just move Anderson to Catcher.
  19. Edit: I guess not 100% confirmed but I'm assuming he will be based on this.
  20. I haven't even started the show yet. I've been meaning to start it. The criticism of this season makes me not want to waste my time. Apparently even the actors didn't like this season. That pretty much zaps any motivation I had to watch.
  21. And with Covey on the mound, you have to expect a lot of BP use that game as well.
  22. Burr is starting this game tonight. Bullpen game.
  23. I'd like to thank last year's White Sox for only making me have to watch 3 picks this year instead of suffering any longer waiting for their first pick. You guys are the best.
