  1. Yeah it wasn't going to last.
  2. He is referring to the White Sox here.
  3. It should be. Jones missing significant time is a lock every season.
  4. Yan Gomes made it to the MLB before Orlando and Rienzo.
  5. Ironically, that player is on Toronto now.
  6. I would hit Eloy in the 6th spot in that lineup. If Moncada hit 4th for balance, I'd go: 1. Garcia RF (he should probably be in a corner) 2. Anderson SS 3. Abreu 1B/DH 4. Moncada 3B 5. McCann C 6. Eloy LF/DH 7. Delmonico/Cordell DH/1B/LF (Alonso just gone in this scenario) 8. Sanchez 2B 9. Tilson CF (get things going for the top of the order)
  7. They'll probably give him til the end of the month or next month to see if he can turn it around. I bet he's gone by the end of June if he keeps this up.
  8. This team looks like a little league team at times defensively.
  9. Yeah that was an accident.
  10. What's their record with Castillo at catcher and McCann at DH?
  11. And also a former prospect of ours.
  12. Him and Alonso.
  13. Two 1B and no LF? That's a hell of a shift.
  14. I wasn't really arguing that a position player is worth more than a pitcher. Just kind of showing that it doesn't really matter if he only impacts a certain number of games (see the comment I'm replying too). Also, just because I feel it is worth mentioning in this specific case (Ruschman), someone who scouts say is great behind the plate would have more involvement than just 4 at bats a game. Just an additional 2 cents.
  15. Isn't that the spinoff of that Z-Nation show? I've heard mixed reviews of it so far but as a fan of zombies, I'll probably check it out.
  16. Isn't it possible, since the Orioles seem so far away from competing based on the division and their system being trash, that they may decide to go with high schooler who may take 3-4 years and possibly fit their window better than a college bat that may come up as early as next year? Granted they do need as much high-end talent as possible and a Ruschman or a Vaugh could end up being a trade chip for them later in their control.
  17. That's more than starting pitchers.
  18. Agreed. 0% chance that option vests. If they want a stop gap typ of 1B for next year until someone in the minors takes over, they can do that for cheaper.
  19. Those situations will sort themselves out. Good problem to have.
  20. What about platooning Cordell with Alonso when Eloy comes back and letting Eloy DH against the lefties? He would still be in the field most of the time and he can still work on his defense on the side. Also keep him healthy.
  21. Thanks. All I remember is he missed the whole season.
  22. I was going to say if they're going to play Alonso, you might as well get the most value out of him and play him at 1B.
