I think I have warmed up to the idea of Keuchel if he can be had at 4 years. I think I'd prefer him over the guys next year like Bumgarner, Sale, or Cole on longer deals. Obviously, I'd rather have Sale but it isn't guaranteed that he reaches free agency nor can be hand for anything less than say 7 years.

Well it wouldn't exactly be his fault if a team entered last minute and threw a huge offer down on the table that beat ours. Also, he's not being a total douche bag about the whole thing so there is that.

Yeah it doesn't really seem like the Dodgers need to deal him. Never really felt that way. They can go into the year with Verdugo in the minors and trade him during the season for help. For bullpen help, there are still guys they can sign and probably get them on minor league deals.

I paid off all of my school loans (about) $20k in a year after I graduated. I think I would have paid about $4k more in interest if I hadn't. I've been done with those for a little over 2 years now. I had basically nothing saved at that point but continued and still live at home to this day. Now I have enough saved to drop 20% on a house in the next couple months. But you're smart to pay off everything ASAP. I have the same mentality.
