  1. I don't think I would want Ryu. Seems like he always spends time on the dl.
  2. I'm sure Machado is close to a lot of guys in baseball.
  3. I still see him going to the Yankees.
  4. Yep. Especially with the payroll as low as it is.
  5. I see 2 decent years and another decent cup of coffee in the league a season before those 2.
  6. This. The injury was TJ specific which he didn't have post-extension. He's NOT at the league minimum everyone here keeps saying he is.
  7. You also don't see any top prospect(s) for top prospect(s) trades.
  8. Sign Machado for 8 years/$280m (opt-outs after years 4 and 5 so there is incentive to perform in those years and the team gets him for a guarantee 4 years; whatever offer he accepts is going to include them).
  9. I assume they will sit on it until about May/June hoping that another top player emerges from somewhere.
  10. Yeah that and commercial breaks are about a minute longer I believe. In a baseball game, that adds up.
  11. He was not considered an amateur free agent and yes we did sign him during the world series.
  12. Yeah there is a brief period where only the former team can negotiate.
  13. Unfortunately probably true. Vizquel would certainly be a great infield instructor though.
  14. It's ok. His only friend in baseball Welington Castillo will convince him to sign here.
  15. We are in the penalty box. We are out when the new period starts July 2.
  16. That's easy. Because the Phillies are a team that has spent in the past. Looking back at their competitive window up until around the time they started rebuilding, they were a top 5 salary team and even had the second highest payroll 2 or 3 times.
  17. Wheres the rest of him?
  18. The Sox will have Nate Jones at league minimum next year, correct? If so, anyone who has an MLBtr accont go back up a poor fan who is debating with a few other posters (including the author of the article) on MLBtr about the exact amount of his option for next year lol Edit: nevermind, the surgery is TJ specific. His last surgery wasn't TJ.
  19. Trevor Rosenthal on a 1 year deal fits.
  20. This isn't what did it for me. His hustle (or lack thereof) and general attitude is what has changed my mind. He 100% seems like the type of player who will just coast after getting the big pay day, especially if the Dodgers win the World Series this year.
  21. Dirty would be the correct term for sure.
  22. This team will have most likely 8 relievers again, just as the team has operated the past few seasons. I'm going to guess 3 of those guys are veterans. Even if that includes Nate Jones, who will likely get hurt again and open up a spot for a young guy anyway. And assuming one of the veterans is flipped between May-July, that would open up another chance for innings.
  23. Jones really shouldn't be counted on, despite being on the team.
  24. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Great joke.
