5/18 White Sox @ Twins 6:40 PM
Here is the scary thing for me, and it's not hyperbole. I just didn't care at all tonight watching the game. Seeing them get walked off provided me next to no emotion. I'm so exhausted by the circus that comes with this franchise. They make it so hard for me to actively root for them to succeed. It makes me sad.

That was 100% self-inflicted.

Liam Hendricks has just been bad, straight up. Guy can't be counted on.

This team is really good, and the Twins are REALLY bad.

I don't know what else throwing someone under the bus looks like honestly. This is textbook. You can try and defend it being "silly" all you want, but that's just not based in any sort of reality. I heard the audio on the radio as well.....those quotes weren't "silly"

I've GOTTA change my username, this is getting bad.

Change the Game
Would have been nice if LaRussa nipped the whole drinking and driving thing in the bud after the first time he made his mistake, but apparently he didn't get the message. I mean, you can’t be openly defying the law at this level. It does matter if the roads are packed or empty, it’s a long-term culture thing. But I guess it you let him get away with it, other DUI's will follow.

The TLR Manager Thread
So I'll turn it back to you. Did any player call out LaRussa for leaving Matt Foster in the game to die? Did any player call out LaRussa for not knowing an extra inning rule and having their new closer run the bases when he didn't have to? Did any player comment on his DUI the day before he was hired? In case you needed the answer.....it's no, the players didn't do that. They kept things in house. But when Yermin makes a mistake, you better believe LaRussa is going to make sure the media knows that shit doesn't fly for the White Sox!

Well put

The TLR Manager Thread
Let's just summarize this for easy reading: - Yermin Mercedes hit a home run in the 9th inning - Tony LaRussa wanted him to keep his bat on his shoulder - As the home run landed, LaRussa was apologizing to the Twins for his player hitting a home run against a hated rival - Today, as the Sox prepare to win another game, Tony spent most of his time ripping his star rookie in the media, airing out all his grievances about sportsmanship and how to play the game the right way, and talking about spankings (?!?!) It's like we are living in bizarro world.

And that's a 16-4 White Sox winner!
Except I didn't deflect anything, and said multiple times Yermin was wrong for not following the call given. If he missed it, he needs to pay attention. If he blew it off, he needs to be punished. None of that changes my thoughts on 1. Tony making the call to take on 3-0 is wrong (especially given his reasoning) 2. More importantly, he just threw his player under the bus. That's bad management, no matter what field you are in. You seem more upset about Yermin hitting a HR against the orders of the manager....I'm more concerned about Tony LaRussa giving out bad calls, then throwing his players under the bus.

This entire post is wrong, but the bold really stands out. No matter what you think....you can't say that with certainty. You don't know, no matter how much you think you do. So you're wrong. And you'll have to live with that. Now go get your fucking shinebox.

And that's a 16-4 White Sox winner!
My point is LaRussa is now "new school" and wants to be transparent with the media....but is still going to play it old school not swinging on 3-0 because SPORTSMANSHIP!

It's INCREDIBLE that 1. The White Sox manager is saying this to media 2. There are White Sox fans defending it

Ahh, so now we're in the "Fake News" stage of denial. I'm expecting some sort of QAnon take from you in the next 3-5 days if this trend continues. I expected more from you. I guess my expectations were too high.

By the way, just want to say again...BRAVO on this prediction....you nailed it....
-
And that's a 16-4 White Sox winner!
I wish that was the case...but we can't have it both ways. Well apparently LaRussa wants it that way.

Way to dodge the question! Dude, your replies are getting worse every day. Here...here's a ton more media members piling on. But yes, they are ALL wrong and there is no big deal with a 76 year old LaRussa running over his rookie in public for "bad sportsmanship" because too many people are being mean to the White Sox manager. Didn't know you were this soft...
-
And that's a 16-4 White Sox winner!
Do you have a problem with a coach publicly running over his star rookie in the media?
-
The TLR Manager Thread
I know it’s your job now to defend LaRussa because of the hole you’ve dug yourself is too deep to get out of....but if it’s no big deal...why did LaRussa even answer the question. It’s not just Soxtalk making a “big deal” about this....it’s all over baseball Twitter right now, as you’ve seen. This team is rolling....so why bring up and make this a distraction?

Add it to the list.
