  1. I know these jobs are in VERY high demand...but who worth a damn wants to inherit this mess? Sorry, this isn't just an overreaction to tonight, as listed above, the Sox have an insane amount of money tied into a collection of talent that simply can't compete in the worst division in baseball. The system is still in the bottom third of the league and the entire organization needs to be re-started, for an owner who likes to do things "his own way"
  2. I truly don't care. I'm really not interested in the soap opera that I assume this off-season will be. They don't deserve the attention. They'll have another clown show of an off-season like always, because it's who they are at their core. It's truly "White Sox Business" as Kenny so eloquently put it all those years ago.
  3. Been that way since about the middle of April. f***'em all.
  4. It's funny, the longer TLR is gone, you realize two things. Tony has been a huge issue, while also realizing he is FAR from the only problem. It goes so much deeper than that
  5. This is who they are
  6. IT TOOK YOU THIS LONG?!?!
  7. What a fucking joke.
  8. Kind of a perfect way to end this season with the Sox only trade deadline acquisition blowing it
  9. What an AB from Pito
  10. If they believe he is as bad as you think they believe...literally anyone else
  11. I don't anyone in the league knows what Fields is yet. And if they truly feel that way, then why even start him? What are they doing if they feel so badly about Fields they'll only let him throw it 11 times?
  12. My mom died 9 years ago, but pretty sure she loved me. But that doesn’t change the fact you’re a weak-skinned troll that loves to drop in threads and keep up this crusade defending LaRussa, and when someone calls you out, you can’t handle it.
  13. Here is what I don’t get. You don’t know what you have in Fields. It’s Year 2, and he’s with a new staff. This isn’t a playoff team. You aren’t going to find out by having him throw 11 times in a game.
  14. No you weren’t. You’re just a shitty troll with a shtick that has been called out multiple times.
  15. There just is no reason or evidence to think this will happen. While I agree with the thought, there is no reason aside from pure “hope” that anything significant changes with JR still running the organization.
  16. Sox sweep Indians they still have a shot Sox win 2 of 3 and the season is over Not much wiggle room aside from that quite frankly.
  17. Agree, it was kind of a weird piece for him to write. I loved it, and respect him a lot for it, but was out of character for him
  18. Ken bringing the heat today! "But Tony, it’s more obvious every day: Cairo is doing a better job. Yes, the team finally is getting healthier, the offense finally is hitting with power, the players finally are responding to the urgency of their situation, three games out in the weak AL Central with 20 to play. Maybe all that would have happened if you were still the manager. But Cairo is bringing energy. Communicating with players. Holding them accountable. All things maybe you thought you were doing. But evidently, weren’t doing well enough." "Your relationship with coaches was another issue. Most staffs today are highly collaborative. Your style is far more autonomous. Some coaches were OK with that, I’m told. Others were not. Your emphasis on hits and contact ran counter to the hitting coaches’ goals for achieving power through patience. Cairo cited his respect for you in explaining why he refrained from calling out the team sooner; clearly, he did not feel empowered to take a stand."
  19. Tony replied to TaylorStSox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
For those that don't understand the joke: One of my all-time favorites.
  20. I'm a little disappointed and surprised Zemo isn't a part of the crew, but I guess we'll see.
  21. What an incredible situation and statement.
  22. This is by far the project I’m most excited about
  23. That TLR comes back? No way. I think even the casual fan that just watches the broadcast can hear enough from Stone and Jason that they realize this team is playing different from the .500 ball they’ve been playing for 160+ games
