  1. So....who was the one that picked up the option for Kimbrel? I don't know how ANYONE, includes relatives in the Hahn family, can carry water for anyone in this front office right now.
  2. Rick Hahn was named General Manager in 2012, the same time Kenny was named VP. You also have no actual evidence to support those claims.
  3. According to Spotrac, the Sox sit at 7th in payroll at 196 million in payroll. I don't want to break any news to you, but Rick Hahn has been at the helm for over a decade. Yes, we'd all like the Sox to FINALLY sign a high priced, prized FA. But the payroll isn't a "problem", there are 20+ teams that would kill for the payroll the Sox have right now. Rick just doesn't know how to build a Championship contender.
  4. So do a lot of teams that are considered very successful and well-run franchises.
  5. I would be fully on board with that IF I believed changes will happen. I find it hard to believe that TLR is back next year...but a new manager doesn't solve the issues. Will it help? Yes. Will it make the Sox a true World Series threat? Not a chance.
  6. None of it matters. We're WELL beyond looking at 1-2 signings that "sunk" the team. The well is poisoned. The fruit has gone rotten. It ALL needs to go. We're well past slicing off part of the apple and saving the rest.....everything needs to go.
  7. Enjoyed the first ep of She Hulk
  8. This really could have been about anything
  9. In Jack's defense here (no, seriously) history would tell us there is no reason to think either are in any danger of losing their jobs
  10. Going to be a fairly expensive 5th starter next year
  11. There are like 4-5 people who know what the budget will be for next year, if that.
  12. I'll be honest, after the first four innings today...this does not seem excessive. ?
  13. If only there were a way to search for things on the internet. Oh well.
  14. BUT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IF WE MAKE THE PLAYOFFS11!!! THE BRAVES!!!!!
  15. Oh my god shut the fuck up already.
  16. People also argued Rodon was actually being replaced by Kopech, so everything was fine. Idiots.
  17. I won't argue that point. Cutting him shouldn't be on the table, for the reasons I gave, among others.
  18. This is a great call. Rick, if you're listening, you should absolutely cut a 27 year old that is owed 42 million over the next two seasons, this will greatly improve the Sox chances of winning a World Series.
  19. Which also works in reverse...it speaks to the value Vaughn has, both to the Marlins...and the White Sox.
  20. I understand where fathom is going with roster balance, filling out holes, getting this team more athletic...don't disagree with that. I also understand Vaughn is a 1B/DH which already lowers his value/impact on the field. Having said that, I don't like using a 24 year old cost-controlled bat to acquire another one. Additionally, Vaughn still has less than 1000 PA's in the ML and has shown a ton of improvement in Year 2. I expect him to continue that climb as he matures, I said last week I think Vaughn can put Mike Sweeney type numbers which would be just fine. I think I'd actually be more inclined to trade Eloy at this point than Vaughn.
  21. Yoan is really fucking good at 3B
