  1. Sox sweep Indians they still have a shot Sox win 2 of 3 and the season is over Not much wiggle room aside from that quite frankly.
  2. Agree, it was kind of a weird piece for him to write. I loved it, and respect him a lot for it, but was out of character for him
  3. Ken bringing the heat today! "But Tony, it’s more obvious every day: Cairo is doing a better job. Yes, the team finally is getting healthier, the offense finally is hitting with power, the players finally are responding to the urgency of their situation, three games out in the weak AL Central with 20 to play. Maybe all that would have happened if you were still the manager. But Cairo is bringing energy. Communicating with players. Holding them accountable. All things maybe you thought you were doing. But evidently, weren’t doing well enough." "Your relationship with coaches was another issue. Most staffs today are highly collaborative. Your style is far more autonomous. Some coaches were OK with that, I’m told. Others were not. Your emphasis on hits and contact ran counter to the hitting coaches’ goals for achieving power through patience. Cairo cited his respect for you in explaining why he refrained from calling out the team sooner; clearly, he did not feel empowered to take a stand."

For those that don't understand the joke: One of my all-time favorites.
  5. I'm a little disappointed and surprised Zemo isn't a part of the crew, but I guess we'll see.
  6. What an incredible situation and statement.
  7. This is by far the project I’m most excited about
  8. That TLR comes back? No way. I think even the casual fan that just watches the broadcast can hear enough from Stone and Jason that they realize this team is playing different from the .500 ball they’ve been playing for 160+ games
  9. No reason to think he won’t be back. The FO seems to have no connection to the fan base, let alone correct baseball decisions.
  10. TLR being gone as really helped this team. Tim Anderson going down has been an even bigger lift…
  11. So no one has said what you claimed, got it. So there is no data behind your claim, but almost like “observational analytics” right? For someone you don’t think has done a very good job with the Sox, seems like a weird hill to die on. But knock yourself out.
  12. Who has said that? Who has said Tony LaRussa is fully responsible for the team's struggles this year? There is literally a thread directly under this one titled "Fire Rick Hahn" with over 375+ responses, along with countless threads on Jerry, Menechino and really anyone else associated with this organization. Additionally, when you mention that "he majority of the fanbase had their mind made up about Tony the moment he was hired.." you fail to mention the main reason people were actually against the move. He hadn't managed in a decade when brought back to the Sox, and in 2020 did an interview Graham Bensinger where he said "Observational analytics are being disrespected....percentages don't really take into account the head, the heart and the guts of a player that day, so there are times I'd like to get back and help correct the balance." That was troubling for many reasons, and gave fans major concern in 2021 given the success franchises have had in installing advanced analytics. Any by your own account, you "dont think Tony has done a particularly "good" job as Sox manager." So what is the crusade you are going on? You think people don't like him and are rooting against him because of his politics and his age? Really? You don't think fans would look past that if this team was 12 games up on the Twins right now? You're full of s%*#.
  13. Assuming this isn't a troll job (It might not be based on your history) I'm genuinely curious what TLR has done during his time with the White Sox to show he is the manager you want running the team you root for.
  14. There truly isn't a single argument anyone could make at this point. Because of that, I expect to see TLR back on the bench by about Wednesday or Thursday, because that's the Sox.
  15. CHANGE THE LOCKS
  16. I mean, what else needs to be said at this point?
  17. Look at their record over the last 35 years. This shouldn't be the only thing that gives you little confidence in this organization.
  18. The issue I have with this is two fold: 1. The Sox should have had better medicals/info that anyone on Rodon. Clearly, the guy was healthy in 2021 and is showing he's more than healthy in 2022. 2. When you use the word "risk" in this case, I'd buy it more if Rodon got a contract for 3,4,5 years. He did not. At worst, he got a 2 year deal, but with his performance this season, it looks like he'll be hitting the FA market again this offseason. What's frustrating is given how this season has gone, if Rodon put up these numbers with the Sox, they're still a frustrating team but they're sitting in 1st place right now.
  19. And god forbid someone bet on themselves. Gio not excepting an extension that we don’t even know the dollar figure of doesn’t make him greedy, but I suppose the OP’s user name checks out.
  20. Fastballs right down the cock to Correa seems like a bad idea, maybe it’s just me.0
  21. If they win tomorrow, I don't see how you can bring TLR back this season, right? (Removing the idea that he shouldn't be here in the first place, or that he should have been gone months ago, etc)
  22. Awesome W and game by Cease.
