  1. (of course this might change with rain, wildcard setup) Thank you so much for posting this! I really appreciate it!
  2. Very interesting stats, thanks for sharing! I got a good chuckle last night when people in the game thread thought he was regressing. LOL.
  3. If the Sox make the playoffs, he has a shot at MVP...but until then, he'll have to settle for a Cy Young.
  4. If Sale gets 25 or more wins, I think he's a lock for the Cy Young regardless of anyone or anything else.
  5. I'd give Encarnacion $100+ million. Why? Because it isn't my money.
  6. QUOTE (Chris Sale @ Jun 26, 2016 -> 03:43 PM) Chris Sale is hands down the best pitcher in the American League and it's not even a little bit close. Yes! Yes!! Yes!!!
  7. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 26, 2016 -> 03:17 PM) Pile on a few more runs and let him finish it. He has an extra day off next time through rotation. He looked pretty gassed in the last inning, I don't want him facing Donaldson and Encarnacion again.
  8. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 26, 2016 -> 02:57 PM) Better then against Boston Nice! It looks like he's been efficient today, hopefully he'll go the distance to give the bullpen a day off.
  9. How has Sale looked so far? I just turned the game on.
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 26, 2016 -> 11:12 AM) There's definitely enough stuff going on with his batted ball trends to say it is not merely luck going on. Maybe he's been more unlucky than lucky, but he's hitting a lot of pop-ups, not many line drives, and is pulling everything on the ground. These are all differences from career norms. His defense has also not been fabulous, per some metrics and my eyeballs over the past 3-4 weeks. This is what I was trying to explain in a different thread, but Y2Jimmy and a few others didn't get what I was saying. He doesn't have much of any bad luck at all. He just can't make solid contact consistently enough for that BABIP to go up. I also think he's quite overrated defensively. He's ok, but not as good as I thought he would be.
  11. Let's take the series from these f***ers. I need Sale to dominate so I can win my fantasy matchups this week, lol.
  12. Let's watch Garcia fail for the umpteenth time.
  13. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 05:10 PM) Sign him to replace Purke./green Buehrle at this very moment would still be better than Purke.
  14. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 03:05 PM) I don't think he's being literal guys. I think he's saying it's hard to improve it when all he seems to do is homer, K or popout. Meaning he does nothing to really improve his BABIP (by just getting a base hit every once in a while as opposed to a groundout, popout, flyout). Maybe confusing wording on his part but I think understand what he's saying. This is what I was trying to hint at, thanks for clarifying. I know K's don't literally figure into BABIP, but it's going to be hard for Frazier to increase his numbers unless he starts making more consistent contact other than the occasional homer.
  15. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 07:42 AM) Frazier turned 30 in February. He's not 32 now. He's been an .800 OPS guy the last 2 seasons. His average is way down, he doesn't have nearly as many doubles as he's had in the past either. He's solid at 3B, he's going to hit 35 home runs, and his BABIP is still an absurdly low .179. His BABIP will stay that low because he either pops up, K's, or homers. Nothing in between.
  16. I'm 10-1 and 9-2 in my 2 most important leagues, so I can't complain.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 08:09 PM) No upside. Bad knees. Great work, GarPax. Are you ever happy about anything?
  18. If Butler was traded, would you prefer Dunn/Wiggins or Russell/Ingram as two possible trade packages?
  19. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 05:06 PM) Jeff GoodmanVerified account ‏@GoodmanESPN Danny Ainge just walked into the Garden with a huge smile. He looked confident -- and should based on his track record of draft night deals. Sounds like Mr. Butler will be wearing a Celtics jersey in the near future.
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 05:01 PM) GAME OVER Knew that was happening. Can't believe I just wasted five hours staying awake from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. This team just doesn't have that killer instinct to put our boot down on another team's neck and crush them. The Red Sox gave us so many chances to sweep the series and we choked the bit. Where do you live?
  21. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 04:35 PM) With who? Coats? I wanted Saladino. Coats should have ran for Avila IMO.
